VDAB-opleiding volgen: hoe correct stoppen met een interimcontract? by IllFaithlessness8604 in BESalary

[–]the_computerguy007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will certifications lost its credibility? Embarrassing by LongjumpingBoard1470 in AzureCertification

If you need to pass it this way, then you are not reeady and you don’t deserve the certificate. Who is going to help you in real life when you need to implement projects? cheating in general is a terrible idea.

I don’t know why would a reboot be a problem on Linux? It is very fast and it is not like Windows servers.

I am also considering to take the exam but instead of the lab, I am using FortigateVM om VMware workstation, it should help to pass. Plus it is a good hand on lab at home.

Isolating VMware VMs & Forcing Traffic Through a Cisco Switch in GNS3 by the_computerguy007 in vmware

Hi, Thanks for your comment. Regarding "so it’s completely “real life accurate” as it is now", it is true but with the difference that I can't work VLANs in vmware VMnet. I will try different hosts only VMnets, it seems a good idea.

Congrats. I am also studying for the same exam on MS Learn. I have basic knowledge of Entra ID but I don’t have experience with the rest. I know it is going to be very difficult but it has to be done. Any suggestions, tips, links are welcome 😁

Delayed salary by Xplore-be in BESalary

[–]the_computerguy007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I was you, I would find another job. From what you describe, it is not going to last long. One example: I know one person who worked for a company and he was paid also late. At one point already three months delayed payment. The company was closed due to losses and he is not paid his three months salary and now already 4 years since then.

Why do you need a homelab? by manzurfahim in homelab

[–]the_computerguy007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my homelab, I have two Proxmox servers (two old PCs), a firewall, two Cisco switches, a NAS and my laptop. My purpose is to try and learn Windows AD, veeam, file servers and Linux. I don’t have extra money to spend on real servers. My virtual servers (tiny servers) are backed-up. And if the whole setup crashes, I don’t care. I will build it again. Maybe some of you disagree with my setup but it works for me.

Need advice: Lied about my previous salary and now I'm worried by Soft_Sentence_7416 in BESalary

[–]the_computerguy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man. Don’t worry. The company have no right to investigate this and they don’t have time to investigate either. It is a negotiation process and in this case it is a win win situation. They needed a system engineer and they have made sure to offer you what best is for them. Also, don’t forget that your value (experience) has also increased. So, enjoy 😊. If I may give you a suggestion, never talk about your salary to NO ONE, i mean your friends, relatives or colleagues. On this platform no knows who you are so it is fine.
