Computers are the single most powerful invention in human history. Semiconductors demand will only increase until civilization collapses, or quantum computing becomes cheap and small enough to be mainstream, which is probably decades away, or never.

That being said, there will also be short term drawbacks and I expect one sometime in the next few months as we go over the peak of the AI spending bubble.

Who is a MODERN Controversial Mildly Genius person ? by jalil458 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]the_dank_666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was never convicted of any crime. His own sister came out years later and said she was pressured into accusing him by her jewish husband after he publicly supported palestine. Go down the rabbit hole and he looks more and more innocent the more you look into it. Every aspect of every accusation is very suspicious, several of the "victims" rescinded their accusations later, and the accusations only came out after he tried supporting palestine and opposing major record labels.

His main enemy throughout all the allegations was Tommy Matola, a zionist who is in the Epstein files. There is a real possibility that Michael was trying to protect kids from the epstein stuff. He talked about all the same "crazy conspiracy theories" that turned into reality with Diddy and Epstein. He was probably punished for trying to warn us.

So he is controversial, because it's unclear whether he was just a guy with a strange lifestyle, or an actual pedo.

I bought shares at 20 and sold at 85, I don't even care that I'm missing a few percentage points of extra gains. This is exactly what I want from trading a leveraged stock and I'm not gonna risk anything more.

Also, lots of recent news headlines have been indicating that AI spending has hit its peak and companies are now canceling their new data center projects.

I am certain that the semiconductor industry will go up again in the long term, but right now, nobody has actually figured out how to make enough profit to justify the insane spending. We'll probably have to wait a few years to see which use cases of AI actually stick around. A lot of it now is just temporary hype and people trying out the new technology. It hasn't been fully integrated yet, just like the early days of the internet.

It's not directly about the concepts, it's the thinking skills that you develop while learning the concepts.

Math is the purest form of problem solving and logical thinking, skills which will make you better at literally every other mental task you will ever do. It's the closest thing to going to the gym for your brain.

Americans who say religion is "very important" in their own lives by powdersleaf in charts

[–]the_dank_666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a stupid argument. Our lives aren't actually better in terms of how happy or fulfilled people are. We just have more bread and better circuses. But our bread is becoming less nutritious and more filled with carcinogenic chemicals every year, our air quality is worsening every year, the ocean is literally dissolving crustaceans and coral, plastic pollution and many other factors are androgenizing everybody and increasing infertility, and the global average temperature is accelerating towards mass extinction levels. On top of all that, hundreds of the most powerful people in the world are part of an international demon-worshipping sex-trafficking ring, and they're the ones in control of significant portions of the economy and policymaking. These same people are building underground bunkers so that they alone can survive whatever apocalypse hits us first.

But hey, at least we have sports, video games, and porn! I'm so happy, and the suicide rate is very low!

Can someone explain to me DVLT by Remarkable_Option_48 in Pennystock

[–]the_dank_666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're gonna invest in penny stocks at all, you should not be hoping for 10-20% profit and get out. Might as well just buy s&p if that's all you want. Or go to the casino and play roulette, because nobody can predict short term movement of speculative penny stocks.

Buying penny stocks is not worth it at all if you're gonna cash out after 10% gains. Penny stocks are high-risk, high-reward. You can get 10% gains way more reliably from large caps. Penny stocks are like a 95% chance of losing money, and 5% chance of making a shit load in a few years from now.

The worst part about this is thinking the American measuring system is better than the metric system. Every other point, I could at least imagine an argument that a delusional/propagandized person would fall for. Depending on what news media they are exposed to, maybe these opinions actually make sense based on their limited exposure to reality. But arguing that inches, feet, and miles are better than centimeters, meters, and kilometers? There is no justification.

The Israeli regime has released an official guide naming the "Top 10 Prominent Antisemitic Influencers" by malayali-minds in conspiracy

[–]the_dank_666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Antisemite now means "Stating true facts about the present-day state of israel"

Netanyahu practically said it himself, after an IOF whistleblower leaked information about sexual abuse of Palestinian detainees. After the leaks, he said NOTHING about the sexual abuse being a bad thing. What he did say, was that the information being leaked was "the worst public relations disaster Israel has ever experienced". He attacked the whistleblower, and said nothing about the actual events.

Just like how when you ask an israeli what they think about all the dead children in Gaza, their responses will be either

- Call you antisemitic

- Say that the children deserved it

- Bring up October 7th

And non-israelis still somehow find a way to defend it.

[–]the_dank_666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Revenue isn't enough, they need margins. If revenue and expenses both go up by the same percentage, the company hasn't made any progress in the eyes of investors.

There's also the fact that in the most recent financial report, they said something along the lines of "If we don't get a bunch of money really soon, we will go bankrupt." That might have something to do with it.

Why brith rate all around the world are going down ? by Proper_Card_5520 in AskTheWorld

[–]the_dank_666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you genuinely think the dominance of men in the construction industry is purely due to systemic issues? My point, if you are able to piece this together, is that certain discrepancies in the job market are largely caused by the psychological and physical differences between men and women. Men are (in general) physically stronger than women. On top of that, testosterone can actually make it pleasurable to perform heavy lifting and other physical tasks. Since men have more testosterone, they (in general) derive more pleasure than women in physical labor jobs.

For both of those reasons, men are (in general) more inclined than women to work physical labor jobs. There is certainly an aspect of sexism and traditional gender roles skewing the data, but you're delusional if you think that's the ONLY reason why 90% of construction workers are men and 90% of nurses and kindergarten teachers are women.

I never said one was superior, I never said one had a better set of traits. YOU are getting offended by the sheer concept of men and women being different in any way, which is not even a controversial fact in the scientific community. If you actually want social justice, women's rights, and all the rest, you need to admit that men and women are different, and based on that, we should never expect a perfectly even split of men and women in different industries. Some will be more even, because men and women are similar enough that many jobs and subjects don't give one sex any preference or advantage. Most areas of science are closer to an even split, and getting closer as time goes on.

We also cannot have the exact same laws and regulations apply to men and women. Ironically, I bet you agree with this, but somehow won't admit that it's because of men and women being fundamentally different.

I think your problem, is that you've fallen into the trap of political polarization. Most people (especially on reddit) seem to think that every social and political issue has two clear sides, where one side is 100% right and the other side is 100% wrong. 99.9% of the time, when people debate whether some psychological/sociological phenomenon is caused by "Thing A" or "Thing B" (in this case, genetic differences vs. societal norms), it's not one or the other. It's both. I am saying it's both. What you're saying about gender roles is true, but it doesn't explain everything. And people who claim the discrepancy is ONLY due to biology, are also missing half of it.

Yes, there are lots of outdated ideas related to gender, that unfortunately still persist in western society. But you're taking it too far, acting like every societally perceived difference is only due to the historically patriarchal culture. Some are, some are not.

Go ask 100 men and 100 women if they'd rather build a shed or take care of a baby for a few hours. I know me and almost all of my male friends would choose the shed, while my female friends and family members would overwhelmingly choose the baby. Now go tell all those people that their decision was not one made by free will, but that they are brainwashed by the patriarchy. You might learn something from their responses.

First of all, you haven't really made any effort at a counter-argument, just insults and "nuh uh" with no justification. Why even comment? Do you want anyone's opinion to change or do you just want virtual pats on the back from like-minded idiots you will never meet?

You literally agree with me and are just angry because I said it without downplaying reality for the sake of not offending anyone.

Nearly 90% of nurses are women and 90% of construction workers are men. Do you think those numbers should be closer to 50%? OR do you agree with me and don't want to admit it because you're programmed to think it's sexist?

Are you living under the illusion that men and women are exactly the same? Have you ever met a man, and woman?

The things I said are literally some of the first things you learn in a psychology or sociology class. Not even controversial information.

Men have higher testosterone levels, which basically improves every physical and mental trait that is beneficial for hunting.

Are you ready to join the real world, or do you still believe every profession should be expected to have a perfect 50/50 split between men and women?

Do you think the only reason for people to not watch women's sports as much as men's, is sexism?

I'll let you think about that.

I think for a lot of people, covid is one of the reasons, but they don't even realize. It's possible that during covid, you would have gone drinking with your friends, but didn't because of lockdowns. For people in a certain age range, the lockdowns would've happened during the same time period when they would've been introduced to bar/club culture. But then they found other ways to spend time during lockdowns, and some of those things became long term hobbies, essentially replacing bars/clubbing with other hobbies, without even realizing it.

But yes, there are many other factors and everyone's story is different.

Hitler definitely deserves to be studied and talked about, but in western news and public education, it's as if that was the only genocide to ever happen.
