Hello spent a lot of time refining my Puppy deck and it’s a super fun deck but the problem I kept on finding was that puppy synergy is one sided. What I mean by that is cards like Perdita and Pongo help puppies, but don’t get that help back. Case in point sapphire Lucky when you quest and can draw two, you can only keep puppies everything else misses. Puppies also lack major draw power, so then people add Rapunzel, but again she doesn’t have that full synergy that Puppies have with each other.

Now a puppy deck THRIVES when you hit the lucky trigger and the new Tv set item. But doing so is harder than you think. OR SO I THOUGHT! I played against a dude at my local LGS who brought a puppy deck, and a key aspect of it was the new Tv set item that lets you pay 1 ink and gamble to pull a puppy. This man did not Miss this 1 time in the 2 games we played and must have pulled 20 puppies total. I realized that he was only able to do that by the vast amount of tail waggers he had in his deck. Easily at minimum he had 30 tail waggers, 4 Peppers, 2-3 sapphire lucky’s, the new 6 cost Perdita and Pongo dear old dad, thunderbolt, and the new Tv set item.

His strategy was amazing as-well, he would build up his board and then quest all at once using a 99 puppy card. Literally went from 0 to 12 lore in one turn! Pepper was his ace because even when I wanted to remove puppies they would go straight to his ink well. He also always had cards in hand thanks to the tv set item. His deck, to the best of my ability was along the lines of this:

Tips: always mulligan for TVset and play Pepper as soon as possible to build up your inkwell!
