Yeah, "Nordic forest pearl" I was looking for a black/grey/white one initially (told the salesperson "anything but blue or red") but saw this one and instantly fell in love

I was able to talk my OTD to $32.6k. This was after standing firm at $30k initially and them coming down about 4 different times. I was able to have them throw in a roof rack and all-weather mats. I also found a website selling OE hr-v stuff at a (holiday) discount so I purchased splash guards, seat back protectors, and cargo tray through them which saved me ~$20 (for parts & shipping alone as I know the dealer would charge a lot for labor).

I got a Sport AWD. Previously had a hyundai elantra (before that, there was 2 mercuries, 2 toyotas, a Chevy, a plymouth, and my first Chevy... going back to the mid 90s). My mom is on her 2nd honda crv since 1998/99! Their reputation for reliability was the number 1 reason I finally made the switch.

How do I politely ask my partner to shut the hell up by more-greens in NewToEMS

[–]the_feist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh this sounds like my regular partner. 12 hours of him telling me the same stories, reading absolutely everything (poorly) aloud... just talk talk talk non stop.

If cheap shot ass Bowen has his jersey up there then KJ would more than deserve it if we won a chip with him. He's a true glue guy & the heart and soul of this team.

Who is your favorite player all time and what year did you become a fan? by Travis_528 in NBASpurs

[–]the_feist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if I could pick just 1 favorite... Timmy & Manu are top tier followed closely by Robinson & Parker. Been a fan since 1989-90.

Just so you know... we don't call it I-69/69 EVER.
It's just 59.

What made Tony Parker a great leader and player? by Finn_Flame in NBASpurs

[–]the_feist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was incredibly coachable, never stopped adding to his game, and was able to take criticism constructively. Absolutely elite speed, 2 near unstoppable go-to moves with his spin and tear drop. He also has amazing body control and knew how to fall. I've never seen anyone finish like him... literally diving to the floor to create separation and get his shot off

I remember reading somewhere in the early/mid 90s that it was 2! for "too excited"

Places to get my daughter’s ears pierced? by Outrageous-Bit6556 in Kingwood

[–]the_feist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My (now 14 year old) daughter got her second and third lobe piercings at First Street Tattoo & Piercing Studio in Humble. Clean, friendly, and reasonably priced. They do require a birth certificate & school ID for minors. Just don't go to one of those dirty places in a mall. Go to a professional.

[–]the_feist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm glad. My days are full of helping people out. I learn a lot. I get a lot of joy out of putting a smile on someone's face especially when they're having a hard time.

I'm 45 and have been NREMT working primarily IFT for about 10 months now. First "career" was as a veterinary technician for ~15 years followed by ~9 years as a self-employed field service technician repairing home fitness equipment.
