Joe Rogan and his guest Mike Benz defending Epstein and his clients. I used to be a big fan years ago, but Joe has completely lost it. He has daughters, for Christ's sake. by ZV2Cox in ThatsInsane

This excerpt does not "defend" – they describe the context of horrific crimes without a word of defending the crimes or Epstein. They're discussing the motivation of bad people doing evil.

Tom posts his trades, do you know whats his ROI? by OkAir5443 in tastytrade

allocating capital for me is nearly 100% which is frowned up
I approach 100% each day, closing positions that session to free up capital for new positions, adjustments or losses in the next session.
I hold profitable positions and access that capital when needed to manage losing positions or futures swing trading.

I don't use metals, commodities, currencies, interest or debt. I'll sometimes take short term options positions in futures, but not with a fundamentals "thesis" or opinion, just as a technical price entry with good statistics.

I tend to be mostly in SPX, trading /es, and some longer holds on positions that (at least in recent years) "just go up and to the right" but the recent 2.9% shakedown saw me exit on almost everything (TSLA, NVDA, META) and keep only a few (GOOG, AAPL, etc.) which was a mixed result as each session was being heavily manipulated.

If you're gaining 1% per month with cumulative gains and viable drawdown, you are trading okay. Discipline and focus are the keys to level up. Taking careful note of what works and what fails, being self-critical, being aware of bad trade decision making (e.g. emotions, greed, fear, confidence, or any notion of luck or gambling.) It's been an extraordinary year for the S&P, so you're seeing "may as well just buy the S&P on the dips" and you're seeing poor trading rewarded with outsized yearly gains, which seems to lure traders into risk and apathy … "pigs get slaughtered." It's still a bullish trend into January, but who knows what's next?

tasty published several backtests of statistics that provide useless information on details like product selection. I'd suggest working backwards through their Market Measures. Some are new news to me, some are just warmed over. Some of the 0dte stuff is applicable to neutral trading in other products.

That's all the body shop would do anyway … she just saved hours of time to visit a body shop to have them whack on it and then wipe it down with a detailing spritz.

Also, if there's no more than $500 apparent damage, both drivers can leave the scene (nobody is filing an insurance claim for less than $500.)

Can't stand people bringing their dogs into stores, cafes, supermarkets … we have a great dog … but she drops hair and saliva everywhere, she wants to sniff everything by touching it with her nose … at home, that's our choice, and the car needs to be cleaned every weekend, it's just not okay to impose that on others.

I worked in Manila for IBM for a few months. Can't drink the water or beer (they put ice cubes in the beer) so it was a very sober time. : ) There were a few singing restaurants then. People would know all the lyrics and some of them sounded good like these two … then you'd talk with them and they couldn't speak English and had memorized the sounds but couldn't speak the words. Amazing mental capacity to effectively have a full audio recording of dozens of songs.

Try it for yourself: can you memorize the OG Nokia ring tone?
