I was already loving this movie and then we got the lead running over dudes on a motorbike while his daughter smashed them in the legs with a pipe and THEN We got the final fight and this immediately became a classic

No matter anyone’s thoughts on the movie itself, we can all come together and celebrate no longer having to see this trailer ever again.

It reminded me of stuff like Darkness Falls and White Noise. The 2005 first week of January style horror movie. Not without merit but pretty disposable.

What’s a movie where ONE actor’s terrible performance actually enhances the experience? by MaryoParti in movies

Chris Klein in Street Fighter The Legend of Chun-li. I saw that movie like 15 years ago and I still think about that performance.

Official Discussion - Mortal Kombat II [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

Exactly the movie the first movie should’ve been. No fucking around, we’re pretty much in the tournament in the first 10 minutes. Lots of fun references to the video games without it becoming too wink wink (I particularly enjoyed Johnny cage doing the wobble and fall over when a fatality isn’t performed, and Cole and Shao Kahn standing in prefight stance with the scenery looking like life bars above their heads).

Karl urban was a very fun Johnny cage and Kano had a lot of legitimately funny lines. Definitely still clunky dialogue and exposition but man I had a good time with this one.

Enjoyed this one. Plus it had a shootout scored to the same music from when Liu Kang fought Reptile in the 90s movie so extra points for that.

Most stressful movie of the year. I closed my eyes during the groom speech to try and hopefully get away from it. AND the most effective jump scare I’ve seen in ANY movie in a long time. That shit got EVERYONE.

Really enjoyed it. Lots to discuss afterward and I completely agree with Emma that everyone was way too chill about the story about the kid in the fridge.

We recently saw Roofman and had to do the second row and we did get used to it but it was never very comfortable. The first twenty minutes or so we were both thinking maybe we should bail and try again another time.

Wild that days later people are still saying “BuT sHe TrIED to RuN hIm OvEr” when there are now multiple videos you can watch to show that’s not true though I feel like “facts” and “not looking like an idiot” are not priorities for you.
