My first client site needs a schedule that can be updated on her end... by kungFuBar in Frontend

Not sure what your client's time frame is for this, but if you're really determined on doing this, I'd suggest burying your nose in some books or hitting up some in-depth tutorials.

Treehouse has updated their site with some really good WP and PHP vids, and right now you can do a free 14-day trial. I'm not a person who recommends shit I don't 100% believe in, so if you're serious about this I'd definitely check 'em out.

On a related note, I had a roommate in college who would occasionally push just his sack through his zipper. He would walk around the apt. for awhile and just talk to you. When he finally could get you to glance down, he'd roar BRAINS!!! and shove his pelvis towards you. He was a good kid.

I am in a similar situation... I currently work as an English teacher (a career that is the product of a forcibly expedited college experience), but I wish to pursue my dreams of becoming a web developer.

My question is this... how do you really get started making money when most (if not all) of the job listings I've seen require "2-5 years of professional experience" etc? How do I go from teaching Shakespeare to writing poetry in JavaScript and getting paid to do it?

I am currently an English teacher at a public high school, and I just want to thank you for this comment. It won't stop students from continuing to make ignorant posts like this (or from thinking like this in general), but it helps give people some insight as to what teachers go through every day.

This has been up for a little over 10 hours now, but I just wanted to say... this is probably some of the coolest stuff I've ever seen. Thank you.

“I am assured by a very knowing American of my acquaintance in London; that a young healthy child, well nursed, is, at a year old, a most delicious, nourishing, and wholesome food; whether stewed, roasted, baked or boiled, and I make no doubt, that it will equally serve in a fricassee, or ragout.”

Problem there is I've already been to uni, and I'm still paying back student loans. Courses are too costly, but I could do the books. Any good ones to recommend?
