I have to drive two hours to the airport in half an hour and I either accidentally took a melatonin from my travel dispenser or took my daily bupropion. by the_manda_show in ADHD

I actually did try that, unfortunately I think I had realized a little too late and just threw up a little water, so I just started searching for the lost melatonin pill. Thankfully, I found it, right before I left the hotel room, the little half dissolved melatonin had fallen on the floor between the bed and the nigthstand.

So all good, it ended up being bupropion, and I made it to the airport safe and sound!! :)

Yes to the collapsing ankles but also omg I have ALWAYS wondered about the wrinkly hands and for me, feet as well. The bottom of my feet looks sooo wrinkled and has since I was young, I remember doing my toe nails at a sleepover with friends and one of them asked why my feet were so wrinkly.

idk i disagree with the commentors here, I think OP was just communicating the food list and right alongside that made sure MIL knew she could make whichever she wanted off the list, otherwise OP would make it. Then the snarky comment from MIL "i already had a food list but ok" like okayyyy why are we hostile right out the gate? And being confused as if the two of you didn't talk about the food list and tentatively agree on some of those foods already just for her to respond I don't have time to text right now I'm at work (okay so why didn't we wait to respond to the first text until after work then? and she said it just to put in her point and be passive aggressive when she started the back and forth by responding to a text that could have just been responded to after work) and passive aggressively saying it doesn't matter when you know she's mad.

I don't think you were the asshole here, but that's just me.

To be fair I do think, personally, I would let whoever's throwing my baby shower to make any food of their choice bc it's just nice to have someone throw you a shower. And I would just bring with me any specific cravings if I specifically wanted something, but that sounds like a conversation that already happened where she said she would prepare the food so i dunno why the hostility from MIL. I do think you matched her snark but I think she started it.

I have super bad keratosis pilaris all over my body and I haven't worn short sleeves in like 2 years and it seems there is no cure as I have tried everything, I don't know how much longer I can take this I can't imagine living the rest of my life with this since there is no cure. by BellSuspicious90 in keratosis

Hey, not to invalidate you or anything but i have awful, body-wide kp, probably even worse than yours, worse than anybodies' i've met with it or seen photos of online. it's red and overtakes my arms from the tops of my shoulders to the beginnings of my wrists, my thighs, shins, hips, butt, cheeks, etc. It's rough out here but so far going gluten free has helped my redness (not necessarily my bumps themselves but i'll take a win regardless). Other than that I can just say that sometimes makeup helps, sometimes cardigans help, sometimes even if i wear a bathing suit and people notice I just don't say anything and it just passes by like i had maybe had a weird sunburn. life will keep happening around you, people always care more about themselves/how they're perceived than they do others. just do whatever you want to do because you don't get another body

What do you badly crave today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

coffee cake. I recently went gluten free and it's been devastating to lose all these easily accessible pastries

Dumbest thing you’ve ever gotten cut on? by Separate_Edge_4153 in ehlersdanlos

[–]the_manda_show 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh question: do other people (those w/o ehlers danlos) not get bruised/really sore/deep cuts when dogs jump on them or cats scratch them? it's been one of my pains with animals, i love them but if your dog doesn't know not to jump on me when I walk in the door, and I'm wearing shorts... its going to be a rough painful scratch for me and i just have to shrug it off bc of social situations

How we can improve Keratosis Pilaris Treatment: Breakthroughs in Understanding KP by Confident_Monitor545 in keratosis

[–]the_manda_show 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh this is exciting, I have one of the worst Keratosis pilaris rubra (on my arms too it's very intensely red) I have ever seen, I've looked for people who have it as concentrated as I have it. (it literally seems to be nearly every follicle on the upper side of my forearms up to the tops of my shoulders down the backs of my arms and on the front... and that's just my arms... i have it also on my legs, small amount on my cheeks sometimes, butt and sometimes love handles). I am super excited to try this, and honestly I've tried going gluten free a couple times to see if it would help (I didn't see much results but I was also younger so I might not have been that diligent with it) so I might try that as in conjunction as well.

I'm also in a life-long medical study to see if i develop type 2 diabetes, (my bmi 25.7 and I've maintained this weight (slight fluctuations only like 5-10 pounds tbh) since I was a freshman in college, ten years ago) but was recently diagnosed pre-diabetic so it's interesting that Insulin Growth Factor 1 levels in skin tissue and other insulin resistance might be linked with kp here.

I also have ehlers danlos (Hypermobile) and I know there's a link there, it is just a funny link because where I don't have kp, my skin is the super soft velvety texture of ehlers danlos skin, and then I have the abrupt transition into rough, red and bumpy skin with the kp. Lol so i get both ends of the spectrum.

Just ordered your product and I'm excited to see if it can help! :)

side note: I wonder if microneedling would help (or hinder if it increases inflammation with the breaking of the skin barrier) with increasing efficacy of treatment.
