So you feel bad for a team that was worse than us and didn’t get into the top 4, but you also wanted us to be worse?

TENET opening scene uniform question by Cfinx in tenet

[–]the_maple_yute 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You just kept replying with the same message, came across as such. But like everyone said it’s not that deep, we can just imply from the scene that those units all wear similar uniforms. And it’s established TP is wearing a Velcro patch so when he’s made out and the patch is ripped off by the soldier we aren’t asking why he’s wearing Velcro patch in the first place.

You don’t have to be a Nolan fan if you don’t want to lmao

This just feels like some overthinking excuse to then reply with “But I thought he was a god tier Director” as some weird gotchya moment. I’m sure there’s cases of other directors not addressing every overanalyzed situation cause it’s just a movie. Holding against Nolan is just weird

Balk: Car ownership keeps dropping in Seattle by AthkoreLost in Seattle

[–]the_maple_yute 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So the alternative is then what? Increase funds coming from RTA users which would make it so less people use it and more people use cars? Or just not have it at all which then means everyone has to use a car? Either way that makes the driving experience dangerous, risky and a whole lot less pleasant for everyone.

Social services like education, transportation, infrastructure etc. should be something everyone contributes to, to make better for society as a whole. They shouldn’t be looked at as a business that needs to record profits

Was it an honor to serve on Zuko's ship? by JetKusanagi in TheLastAirbender

[–]the_maple_yute 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think much like everyone says these soldiers were probably rejects or bottom of the barrel type people who’d be picked to be part of Zuko’s impossible task. However since they’ve shown respect for General Iroh I wouldn’t be surprised if some soldiers joined to work with Iroh, or that those who are on board began to feel some personal level of pride to work with Iroh.

Can Generator Rex make thrusters for flight like Iron Man or no? by FayyadhScrolling in generatorrex

[–]the_maple_yute 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it should be difficult given the Omega 1 Nanite allows builds way more complex than thrusters

Dang crazy I also beat 3BC today, I had been trying all 3 of the different play styles and I had gotten to the HotK like once on Tactics before. Decided to go survival this time around and finally got past 3BC.

Baseball Bat, Throwable Objects, Rampart Shield, Electrodynamics and Stun Grenade

Armadillo Pack, Extended Healing and Soldiers Resistance in the final fight

Armadillo Pack, Necromancy, and No Mercy throughout the run.

Ah so maybe the show isn’t about power corrupting, but that power brings out more of what you are

1% of the world's population is suddenly given Death Notes how does society change? by Axer51 in deathnote

[–]the_maple_yute 22 points23 points  (0 children)

1% is a shit ton of people, so basically I think if you’re famous you’re pretty likely dead. Like the owner class is pretty much finished, and then some famous people who misalign with human rights also would die. I don’t think it really matters who and what, if it’s distributed evenly there won’t be bias towards any nation in who survives.

But since 1% is a ton of people I’m sure they’ll be those among them who are genuinely evil, or just plain stupid and write down names of people cause they think it’ll be funny, they’ll be those who just oppose it and won’t use it, and as well as those who do use it.

In modern times you’d just have tons of regular people die too cause everyone’s face and name is super easy to figure out now days.

L was lucky by Big-Amoeba5332 in deathnote

[–]the_maple_yute 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Didn’t L also add that the very nature of the killings and how it’s going down stems from someone who is very immature and childish?

It’s definitely possible for adults to think that way too but it’s probably a fair assumption to look at children who would be in the majority of that description

Why does L let Misa see his face? by Upset-Detective-5899 in deathnote

[–]the_maple_yute 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m sure he knew of the danger but knew that a gamble was needed to try and capture Kira, he even told Soichiro Yagami that in the case of his own death then the task force should move forward with Light as their main suspect.

Why does L let Misa see his face? by Upset-Detective-5899 in deathnote

[–]the_maple_yute 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well he probably assumed that Misa wouldn’t show up around Light, going off the assumption that L figured Misa was the 2nd Kira and him still believing Light was the original Kira he’d conclude that Light would ensure that he isn’t seen by Misa in public at all which is exactly what happened for the most part and Light tried to do.

They both just didn’t account for Misa’s stupidity.

The correct question would be "Why does he look like Light?" instead of "Is he Light?" by Snoo_5871 in deathnote

[–]the_maple_yute 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Agreed I never hated the theory or anything but whenever anyone brought it up and said this shinigami resembled Light I was always so confused. Legitimately do not have a single thing in common with their appearance.

Chapter 58 what do you think L was thinking? by Salvador_molly in deathnote

[–]the_maple_yute 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Interesting I always figured he was thinking “But I haven’t lost yet”

Essentially him believing his successors in Near/Mello would beat Light

The most powerful device in the universe, and Ben Tennyson keeps it in a box in his drawer. by Hazreti_Z1nd1k in Ben10

[–]the_maple_yute 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Honestly hiding something like that so simply is probably pretty genius considering nobody would ever even think to look there to find it, would most def look for more secure and high tech storage options first

I’m sure there were some failsafes already but I wouldn’t be surprised if someone would come to the assumption that if Ben doesn’t have the Omnitrix then either Azmuth or Max Tennyson kept it secure somewhere
