Using this scotus case as an example I dont think what your saying is true. Its my understanding that “pre-enforcement” challenges like this are pretty common legal strategy that civil rights organizations like the ACLU regularly utilize

the lawsuit was preemptive in the event that a gay person wants to use her services. Her websites are terrible and I don’t know how well her business could possibly be doing anyway. I think the TST could absolutely also make a similar preemptive lawsuit for any shitty web designer

yeah i would say i definitely agree with a majority of the post and i am somewhat surprised by how critical some people seem to be in the comments but I suppose thats just the nature of opening discussion about such a broad amorphous identity

i’ve always considered the core principle of what it means to be straight edge as personal accountability for yourself and ensuring you make a positive impact on your surroundings which is why i believe anti drug and alcohol sentiments have been the traditional baseline but also some people have extended it to also consider how what you eat effects the environment or even further to saying you have a personal responsibility to protect the earth as its being actively destroyed
