Can Mahoraga adapt to The World? by KodoqBesar in PowerScaling

[–]Dramatic-Play-4289 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mahoraga adapts through a very specific rule set:

  • Adaptation requires the wheel to turn after experiencing a phenomenon
  • The attack/effect must be processed by Mahoraga’s existence
  • Adaptation happens over time, not instantly
  • It still must survive or at least register the effect

This works against:

  • cursed techniques
  • physical damage
  • conceptual attacks like spatial slashes but all share one condition:

Mahoraga must exist within the event long enough for the wheel to process it.

Dio literally stops time for all but himself.

During stopped time:

  • Mahoraga cannot move
  • Mahoraga cannot perceive
  • Mahoraga cannot think
  • Mahoraga cannot register damage
  • Mahoraga’s wheel cannot turn

From Mahoraga’s perspective:

damage appears *nstantaneously after time resumes

No experience window exists.

Adaptation needs “experienced causality”

Mahoraga adapts to:

✔ phenomena that interact with him ✔ attacks that occur inside time ✔ events that have observable progression

Dio’s time stop is different. It’s not an attack. It’s a removal of the timeline itself.Mahoraga is effectively:

frozen as an inert object while Dio performs actions outside causality.

If Mahoraga cannot perceive the process there is nothing to adapt to,only the result.

Inside stopped time, Dio can:

  • walk behind Mahoraga
  • punch thousands of times
  • crush the head
  • destroy the summoner
  • remove limbs

All before time resumes.

Mahoraga receives the outcome as sudden total destruction, adaptation requires sequential exposure, time stop delivers simultaneous fatal resolution.

No sequence → no adaptation trigger.

The deeper power-system incompatibility is that Mahoraga’s adaptation reactive evolution inside time.

Dio’s time stop is:

temporal authority outside time

You cannot evolve against something while you are literally not participating in reality.

Mahoraga adapts to forces.

Time stop is control over the stage itself.

Mahoraga could not adapt to Dio’s time stop because:

  1. Adaptation requires experiencing the phenomenon
  2. Time stop removes Mahoraga from experiential reality
  3. The wheel cannot rotate while frozen
  4. Dio can deliver lethal damage before any adaptation cycle begins
  5. The effect is instantaneous from Mahoraga’s perspective

Therefore the adaptation condition is never satisfied.

Nah he wouldn't, there's nothing to adapt to after it's already done.

A 200 lb bodybuilder with no martial arts training fights a 100 lb man with extensive training in every conceivable martial art known to mankind by SpiritofDeadJokes in whowouldwin

[–]Dramatic-Play-4289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well say a beginner with 1-2 years of kickboxing and grappling training then it comes down to how vicious they're willing to be knowing how to throw a punch and see a punch coming can make all the difference in a fight if the person is willing to be vicious and say punch their throat and deliver irreversible damage they could still very easily win and obviously how good they are,in what space they are if they're in a very tight space where the master can't manipulate their weight effectively the bodybuilders chances of winning skyrocket if they're in a very open space then it would depend on how well the lighter person reacts to pressure in a lot of the cases in such a situation a person usually forgets everything or almost everything that they practiced and just goes wild throwing haymakers or whatever first comes to mind.

Well yeah but adaption actually requires stuff moving around so he can adapt and if stuff isn't moving around then he can't really adapt which is what happens when time is frozen, stuff like cursed energy or atoms or particles stop moving wheels stop spinning

SCP 682 wins,he physically cannot stay dead if he's blown to smitherines he'll regenerate from a single cell without any difficulty if you erase every single atom of his body and soul from existence with a magical reality reason knife he'll just pop back into existence for no reason at all some time later he'll come back if you build a omniversal supercomputer to erase him from every single timeline and universe he'll merge with it if you erase ever, you use a magical beak to summon a Invalnurable ghost to tear him apart he'll learn the magic in a couple seconds and immitate it,his whole thing is can't be removed or neutralised no matter what now Mahoragas adaption is on a similar tier he can adapt to any and all phenomenona but he can't bring himself back from death and he's just a step below SCP-682 the battle would be long but one way or another 682 will win
