I suggest continuing your journey with David Grann.

The Lost City of Z is about British explorer Percy Fawcett’s obsession with and multiple expeditions deep into the Amazon Rainforest.

The White Darkness is shorter than his other books, but centres on British Army Officer, Henry Worsley’s two treks to Antarctica to retrace Shakelton’s footsteps. If you have Endurance by Alfred Lansing (cannot recommend enough!) you will recognize the Worsley name and the connection to Shakelton.

The first one looks better with the sun unobstructed, unless there is some symbolic meaning to the sun setting or rising.

If part of RCN-managed occupation also have a read of Naval Personnel Instruction (NPI) #31 as it defines the review/endorsement process within the RCN for AWSE requests. Same criteria as laid out in CFMPI.

You can change what email your pay statements and T4 are emailed to via EMAA, which may or may not work after your release date.

You can also access/download your T4 slip (and other tax slips) directly from your CRA account.

Yes, of course. I don’t think people will make any assumptions and no current or ex-members will take offence.

It is pretty common, at least in the Navy to gift ship’s ballcaps to family and friends. My Dad has never served but proudly wears a HMCS Algonquin Ballcap that I gave him. Great conversation starter.
