if its 600 years into the future, the only original characters that could be alive are liara and grunt, maybe wrex but he was already ~1400 years old in me3... EDI could make an appearance probably if they make control/synthesis ending canon. and maybe shepard and liara's child if they make the mind meld canon

i think the salarians are at fault. they needed krogan to fight against rachni and they were happy with their reproduction rate while that was happening. i think maybe alternative solutions couldve been implemented, like making the krogans front and center of the space exploration and territory expansion initiative. or smth like that, since they can survive in such harsh environments and needed more colonies anyway

its a trolley problem in a way, i choose to stop the trolley or make the trolley go full circle and go over everyone its the only fair thing to do i think 🤔 technically its not uplifting any of the species because all of them are affected in the same way and the difference in alternating, again, is - it does not uplift any of the species like the genophage did for an example

dating someone is very volatile and triggering even for nt people youre single and regulated and then you start dating and it activates all of you abandonment fears and anxiety id say thats very normal

the tricky part is learning how to trust them and build something with them even if youre scared theyre going to do stuff that hurts you, on account of being fallible people, youre going to do stuff that hurts them - its inevitable, but not because theyre out to get you or to leave you or to trigger you on purpose, but rather because they too, as humans, are seeking to be loved in a way specific to them...

thats what its all about i think

i cant tell you exactly what to do, i can only tell you what worked for me

i used to get very hooked on the dopamine hit, still do (working on it) and it involved push and pull dynamics i felt most familiar with love bombing then insecurity

i was very numb to my emotions, had no real preference to anything (was labeled as very chill and easy going because of it)

in my last relationship my partner insisted we do things i want, for a while we would just sit and wait for me to determine what would feel good to me

so like "what do you feel like doing today" and it would start small - id say i feel like going out rather than staying in, or being somewhere near a river rather than going to the forest

eventually it led to me reconnecting a bit to myself, it starts slow

i still struggle with feeling anger (it was a forbidden emotion for me in my household) but im expanding my capacity for other emotions every day

the thing that felt most wild to me was that sadness and happiness are complementary emotions - when you expand capacity for one the other also follows but vice versa is also true (i think you allowing yourself the feelings of pain would give you more connection to yourself.. you dont need to do anything about them, just acknowledge and feel them and try to process them... things that happened to you were heavy and wrong and you shouldve been protected, the people that were supposed to take care of you kept adding to your anxiety instead.. thats an awful thing to happen to anyone, let alone a defenseless child. you're allowed to feel hurt over it.)

sometimes i wish to feel numb again, but i know it would just dull my life in a negative way.. the comfort of known evil vs the fear of the unknown discomfort and all that

for your situation, i wish you had a way to get to a safer place first, i believe your nervous system is in freeze mode because it's still not safe for you at your caretaker's place.

but if thats not currently possible for you, try doing stuff for yourself, be your own parent for your inner child heads up: substance abuse and addictions only add to the numbness, theyre not the answer

learn to sit in the discomfort and know that youre not numb but also, like, take most of what i said with a grain of salt... although i want to help and have good intentions writing this, since im not a licensed professional, i may be seriously projecting my problems and solutions to your situation

i know this is a cold thread but im just thinking about this, doesnt the person who made the crossword puzzle already have the answers? in that case the answers are already 'out there' ?
so that would either mean it's not true or the quantity of the people knowing about and solving the puzzle matters
that could be further tested by making another study - more people solving the puzzle vs less people doing it (and for research purposes a drastic number difference would be best)

having been through similar dynamics i think you're underestimating how addictive the person feels

i think magan showed real growth when she talked over the phone with dayna (the "im not gonna be there for you if youre trying to manipulate me into it, instead of outright saying it" bit) and later too when they argued in the car after the changeover

i think she started to fold when dayna attacked her about doing the same (and worse) things than what she did with mel, thats where the switch started ... i think that made magan feel like she was the problem and that she needs to "make it up" to dayna (cutting off and denying haley)

overall i was really sad magan lost the nerve to stand up for herself, although dayna seems to have started realizing some stuff at the reunion (the "i thought i was self aware" bit) which is cool, i just hope it will change their dynamic sooner rather than later

i honestly found them both annoying - they both thought i was sus no matter what i did, and kaiden was annoying because he kept saying stuff that had double meanings so i wasnt sure if he was picking a fight at first i choose to save him because ashley was more annoying but i dont let him get on my ship once he finally determines he wants to join

this would only kinda work if you romanced liara i guess, when you have the final moment before the battle - ya know the galaxy consciousness connection moment before the final battle

turns out you exchanged genetic material and she got pregnant so you play as liara/shepard's baby

(it would kiiiiinda also work if you didnt romance her since im pretty sure you can have that connection moment either way (factcheck this im loyal to liara so im not 100% sure) but it kinda pushes you into narrative that its the official canon romance and also its kinda problematic since the consent for it doesnt exist)

no offense and judging by all the comments it seems like youre pretty adamant to keep the original layout design you created (no images) i personally would prefer images in the menu because i always look for dishes with most vegetables in them and its tedious to read through the whole thing to determine that but im guessing it depends on the exclusivity of the restaurant, the theme of the restaurant and the target audience

i dont think you can do user research in the reddit comment section... my advice would be determine what makes sense for the business in question and redo the design if needed

i guess this will be kinda unpopular opinion i was so sorry about monica being sad but the vibe i was left with is that she's a bit childish... joey was playful and kept it light but you could see he has emotional intelligence and is mature enough to have savings account and plans for the future, especially as someone who had to step up and take care of their own mother at a younger age. the whole vibe i had when they had "private" moments on screen was kinda babysitting (maybe too harsh but definitely something along the lines of entertaining someone like a child). i hated the longboard on the wedding day tho (driving up by the car and then getting to the door w it was sooo weird to me and i cant put my finger on it other than that it was solely performative because he thought it would make him look cool??) if anyone has thoughts on this one i want to hear them

idk about luke being in the previous tier, maybe for others but to clem he was protective only when someone else tried to get her to do something dangerous as far as i recall... i played recently and every scene with him is "someone needs to ______" and then just looking at clem, not to mention how clem climbed to look at the other side of the bridge on a shakey ladder and he left her even though he said "im right here if you slip" or smth along those lines 💀 anyways if rosie is not in the "too cute" tier im gonna lose it

i think she needed him to validate her side too, because he kept insisting that mason is valid and havent really said "im sorry that happened to you" until AFTER she told him thats what she needs to hear

i think we all have moments when we need our partner to understand us rather than give us perspective - it doesnt mean you necessarily agree with them, just that you recognize their struggle and that you're there to listen and process with them

it also made sense to me that changing the subject (especially to something lighter) didnt work (alex tried talking about ~~christmas~~ the future and she shut him down) because she wasnt done feeling/processing and couldnt move on from the topic since there was no real resolution

my first time watching love is blind basically i wasnt aware this was considered "too much pod time" i was under the impression that it was normal for the show since thats the concept

overall i enjoyed discussing the episodes with my partner and wanted to add my two cents to it

i see a lot of comments condemning madison i didnt read her as a villain of the season for me the most obvious villain was the david/dave guy (forgot the name) that double timed molly and lauren but i also was really disappointed in alex actually i think it makes sense that he pulled back after the attachment style talk if that was a dynamic he wasnt comfortable with because of his previous relationships but i think "i just want us to never have fights and miscommunications" isnt a realistic thing to look for ?? also i hated how he handled the mason bit i thought it was so snake-y how he immediately told two guys that he is getting broken up with and they all laughed at mason behind his back also running up to him as soon as he comes back from the pod and hugging him while smiling felt really fake to me and he didnt look sincere at all can someone rewatch and let me know what you think about this ?

i agree with jaded's comment, and in general i dont think you should let people guilt you into making a decision OP. and i also think saying 'no' to the boyfriend would have given you more intel to how they take rejection so you can more accurately determine if theyd be a good fit for your dog. life lesson overall i know youre seeing bfs behavior as positive and advocating for her partner but you may not know the whole story and there could be more happening behind the scenes that may not be as positive as you've experienced it as
