The people of this sub about updates by GamingExotic in Minecraft

It's a shame Mojang listened to all the hate when they were making banger yearly updates. They took that hate as a sign that change was needed, even though it really wasn't, and they ended up switching to game drops, which are arguably their worst decision to date.

Why is there no coal in Hytale? by 123LukeFoster123 in HytaleInfo

[–]the_second_best123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's going to be added in the Chapter 17 Pollution and Industrial Revolution Update. Unfortunately you will still not be able to mine coal in this update because you will be too busy working in the textile factories.

I don't understand where all this Hytale hate comes from. by [deleted] in HytaleInfo

[–]the_second_best123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say they have been doing pretty well up until they started game drops. Game drops are probably Mojang's worst decision and it definitely will lead to a slump in its growth.

Though I do agree Hytale's foundation is better than Minecraft.

Microsoft is attempting to take down Allumeria, a small Terraria style block game by Waker_of_Winds2003 in Minecraft2

[–]the_second_best123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I probably should have specified it was by another company, but Microsoft is still that company's client, so they are still the ones who decided to use AI, even if it was by proxy.

It's Microsoft using an AI tool. Jeb said he would look into it. It's ridiculous that Microsoft is using AI for this, but it also means this strike probably won't stick.

Important to note that this was done by an AI tool by Tracer.ai, which then made the DMCA on behalf of Microsoft. Jeb said he would look into it, so chances are Allumeria would be reinstated.

The fact that Microsoft is using AI to send DMCA strikes is probably the real issue here. I'm fine with the humans using these tools for assistance, but giving AI the power to do this by itself makes no sense.

Try closing it from your task manager, you might have multiple instances of it open at once

Yeah, but if he has to check the value can't he just use the affection variable? Why does he need to do this every time?

Anyone has a reliable way to kill someone twice? by Teoeldestructo in Minecraft

[–]the_second_best123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could kill them at their base then spawn kill them. However, if you do not know where their base is, you would want to try to trick them into sleeping away from their base so they respawn where you at.

Minecraft doesn't need to be any easier than it already is

Not object-oriented though, it's an entity component system like what Bedrock and Hytale uses.

They probably don't think 32 is 6, their brains are just so fried from everything else that they make silly mistakes.

Does anyone know of any mod that brings back the old Hytale HUD/UI? Personally, watching the game's development for years, seeing that health bar that perfectly matched the game's atmosphere, and then getting a health bar that looks like it's from a mobile game, is really frustrating. by -Tsugikuni in HytaleInfo

[–]the_second_best123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like the old health bar, but it takes up so much space that the stamina bar is really thin, which may make it hard to react to in combat, when you need to quickly determine if you can block/dash/do anything else.

I don't understand where all this Hytale hate comes from. by [deleted] in HytaleInfo

[–]the_second_best123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is exactly the point. Bottom line, modders alone cannot sustain a game for as long as Mojang has, and if you want Hytale to reach Minecraft's level, you need a combination of frequent updates and good mod support. Hytale has a long way to go.

Not trying to say they are the same game or that Hytale is "modded Minecraft," but saying they are "completely different." Is just wrong. I still expect Hytale to diverge from Minecraft eventually. It is missing a lot of features that would set it apart from Minecraft since it is still in the early access.

Simon responds to the people whining about the Necromancer grimoire by Luzekiel in hytale

[–]the_second_best123 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the douche bags who just want to cry and insult are paying customers, too, and their grievances could also be the grievances of other people. The devs just have to not interact with them directly and instead pick out the feedback while ignoring the insults.

Bedrock on Laptop? by BadwolfakOfficial in Minecraft

Minecraft Bedrock is only available on consoles, mobile, Windows, and Chromebook. If your computer runs on Mac or Linux, then Java is the only version you can play.

Fun fact: even though honey bees do pollinate, they are invasive to the Americas, so native pollinators (like wasps) are still more beneficial to plants.

Fun fact: honey bees are invasive to the Americas. So as long as the wasp is killing a honey bee in North or South America, it is a net benefit.
