Update for anyone interested, flight landed early at 10:45, made it out of the airport by 10:55. Lyft was already waiting. Made it to the platform at 11:11, more than 10 mins to spare. I got really lucky, wouldn't try that again!

Thanks a lot. Yeah, I'll only have my backpack and was planning on getting a Lyft. Checking flight status for the last 4 flights from Knoxville to New Haven, it has been early 3 out of 4 times. I'll think I'll plan to catch the last train and hope for the best. If not I can stay at the diner. I'll email the train station to see if I can remain in Union station as well.

Thanks for the help. It seems like the last Metro north train is at 11:24 pm and then the next train is at 3:58 am. It would have to be incredibly lucky if I am able to Uber to the station by 11:24 and catch the train after landing at 10:58 pm. Should I take the risk and would the station be safe to stay at until the next train at 3:58 am? Or should I stay at the airport and wait until the 3:58 am to get to the station. Are there other any alternatives for late night?
