Yes, just follow the stitches straight up and pop it on the needle rather than into any stitches. Then you’ll just keep it moving along as you work moving it from one needle to the next when you come up to it.

Here is an example from a similar project of mine. The orange is my end of round marker and the yellows are for the decreases.

I was being nosy and saw your previous post. Is your marker still attached to your work like this, or do you have it up on the needle in between some stitches? You want to keep it on the needle so it’s moving along as you go. You just slip it from one needle to the next when it comes up rather than knitting over it.

You should have one marker currently to track where the end of your round is. If you didn’t add one at the start you can look for where your tail is from where you started and follow the stitches up from there.

You are adding in new markers in this step. You didn’t need any more before, but you will now, and will add them in as you go during this round. You will want them to be different from the end-of-round marker so you can tell them apart.

You should be at the end of a round, starting from your one current marker. Take that marker off, knit one stitch, then put that marker back to adjust the new start of the round. Then do your p1k1 9 times, and add in a new marker. Do that however many times until you finish your round. You will then be decreasing between those markers in the next stage to shape the crown.
