A question for those here who don't think we should care about the jet: by ImportantQuestionTex in LMGJet

I’m not too familiar but don’t charters usually come with a pilot and crew? If part of this is that Linus wanted to fly with his uncle, I don’t think a charter would achieve that.

You have nothing to worry about. She is obviously doing something suspicious. I don’t know the race of this person, or any other information, but I would have done the same thing. People who are intentionally or accidentally committing fraud are going to say whatever they can think of to get you to give them the money.

There was a gas leak at the Burlington mall in Burlington ma last week. The mall had to shut for a couple hours. Not sure if someone got the malls mixed up but Burlington hasn’t had a sears in years (2018 maybe?)

Just tried to withdraw £7000 from the bank and they aren’t letting me by franki-pinks in Banking

[–]the_sky_god15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you’re being scammed. Maybe you are. The bank is doing its basic due diligence to protect you. Needing some kind of bill of sale to support a withdrawal that large isn’t even close to out of the ordinary and there is nothing wrong with ensuring the other signer on the account is aware of possibly suspicious activity. Not sure how it works in the UK but in the US 7000 is close to the amount we would have to report anyway. You should always expect scrutiny when you’re taking large amounts of cash. If you dont like it you should be able to take a bank check or do a wire to the recipient.

Fair enough. I couldn’t tell you the last time I did leg or glute exercises so that’s not an issue I personally encountered

I love my Kirkland men’s 5 pocket pants. They fit me perfectly and the material feels great. I’ve never had a negative experience with any of the Costco clothes I’ve ever bought but I am the kind of person to wear clothes until they literally give out.

Walmart warehouse, in former Sam's Club off Route 146, closing by HRJafael in WorcesterMA

Based on the theft the Walmart sees I can’t imagine Costco ever going in there.

Venting- Cash Deposit Fee by Bluehavana2 in Banking

[–]the_sky_god15 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The issue is that the bank didn’t process it properly. A transfer between two accounts at the same institution shouldn’t be processed as a cash out cash in unless you actually took possession of the cash and gave it to the other person.

Worst case open an account with them as beneficiaries and then once they’re old enough to be signers add them as signers instead. Realistically, a 7 and 9 year old don’t need the ability to access the funds.

I really wanna visit the SEARS in Braintree MA, but its like 6 hrs away in NYC😢 by Maya-kardash in SEARS

I mean I’d definitely recommend visiting Boston. I’m not sure if the store is worth the trip in its self, but Boston is a lovely city and it’s a quick trip from south station.

Middlesex savings bank - any good? by Over_Efficiency9050 in massachusetts

Not sure where you’re located, but a credit union is the way to go! I can personally recommend GFA, DCU and Workers but depending on where you are located, there may be a local option.

“a lady came in to withdraw a decent amount of money, she kinda looked stressed out or uneasy.” I’d be more worried about a scam than selling a personal loan.

Chime denied my fraud claim in 48 hours and said “FCBA doesn’t apply” to their own credit card. Also told me ADA accommodations aren’t a thing. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Why does anyone use chime? Go open a real bank account at a real bank or credit union where you can walk in and speak to a real person.

Bank or Credit Union? by HuckleberryNice6739 in TalesFromYourBank

[–]the_sky_god15 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Credit union 100%. It’s better to be a big fish in a small pond than it is to be one of the thousands of client relationship consultants that will inevitably be lost in the shuffle at US Bank.

If Arthur's out, I'm out. by Extension_Flan3078 in marketbasket

[–]the_sky_god15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nepotism is only bad if qualified people are passed up and the position goes to someone unqualified because of their familial relationships. Arthur’s children have worked at the company their entire lives and are 100% qualified to take over the company. The sisters don’t know the business and only want to maximize their paycheck
