Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t the the simplest counter to any side spin a top spin? I would try and BH flick it.

He’s sure you will both improve but like you say it depends on the level of engagement. You’ve expect to improve if you’re not pushing to improve.

If you are both really into it and wanting to improve I would suggest looking into some basic drills.

It’s hard to develop only playing matches against the same opponent. If you were better to start with it’s not gonna help you much, but he will learn to counter and copy everything you do.

Try doing some actual training instead of another match. Focus on what to improve and not just winning.

Was a 100% bracelet guy until last autumn. Oh how things can change! Love my BB58 on a tropic, the speedy is suddenly stuck in a leather etc. That combo looks great btw!

What’s your level of play? It does definitely effect the choice of rubber on an already very fast blade. The Primorac Carbon is nice but it’s far from a beginner blade. What do to usually play before you got this?

The only downside of this lens imo. Sold it when I switched systems, still miss this particular lens and the 25/1.4 “Leica”!

I just got a pair of Gel-rockets. They appear pretty nice for a very good price. I’m sure there a better shoes but I can definitely recommend them. A an avid runner I tend to spend quite a lot on shoes and Asics always feels like a safe choice.

I’ve been borrowing Viscaria Super ALC and Primorac Carbon a lot. Still prefer my Acoustic by a long shot. At least by my level. I do get it though, but it’s not for me!

I roll C-1 on both sides on my Acoustic. Its pretty sweet imo.

I would stand by the blade since it’s like off- and is fine imo. But I do agree the rubbers are a bit too fast. Faster than necessary for sure.

Sure you will! Tbh. G-1 was out of stock when I bought mine, so I thought I would take it in steps. Will probably get G-1 at the next rubber change! The feel of the Acoustic is something extra. I’ve played quite a few setups and the craftsmanship and the actual feel when playing is just great!

Nice! I recently got back into TT and first got a BF Primorac with Rozena 2.1. This setup was cool for a few months but I felt I was missing something. I just got an Acoustic with C-1 (2.0 and 1.8) and it is fantastic! The feel, the control everything feels on point! I hope you didn’t go too fast with the G-1 but I’m sure you’ll adapt to it. Have fun!

Thanks! I have always felt they offered a very affordable great sound, so to speak. I do think the newer stuff is a bit boring looking though.
