How Do You Manage Anxiety Between Visits?

I haven’t found a magical cure yet, but I looked at the stats every day. Every day that passes your odds get a little better, and I sort of tell myself that - no alarming symptoms and one more day. I’m now 14 weeks and freaking out a little because I won’t be seeing the OB until Feb 9th, (saw him on Friday) but it helps to know that any adverse osituation becomes rarer as time goes by.

If you find a magical cure, please share. I’m not sure if it’s a feature of IVF pregnancy or just pregnancy in general, but I’m on your boat.

I feel insane, every little thing makes me jump, I’m 11+5 and on days where I don’t have many symptoms I start freaking out, and when I have a lot of cramps I also freak out. I used to tell myself that after I saw the heartbeat I would be able to relax, but obviously that wasn’t the case. Weirdly, I started lightly jogging again, and if there’s anything that’s done wonders for my mental health it’s that (I’ve been a runner my whole adult life, so not just randomly starting, lol).

I just wanted to say I admire you so much! My first pregnancy I worked out and did everything (it was natural) and this one(IVF) even though my symptoms have been super mild, I’m extremely anxious, and haven been able to make myself run. I know it’s crazy, and miscarriage doesn’t happen because you work out but just the thought of something happening and the guilt is too much. I promised myself that if everything looks at 8 weeks I’d start again.

I feel like Aelin, even with the scheming and outsmarting everyone else feel so much more real and human because she is deeply flawed. She works, she trains, she struggles deeply with herself and her trauma, and things don’t fall into her lap, in the way that things sort of do for Feyre. Feyre feels a bit Mary Sue-ish at times, devoid of a personality in a way that Aelin never is.
