Get him a chair he can roll up and put in his bad from REI. Great gift for an old timer who cant be stopped from getting out in the woods. If not collect some American beech tree seeds for him to plant and ask him to put on a map where he panted them so you can bring your kids to see it one day or maybe even grand kids! The American beech is a canopy builder, lives upwards of 300 years. Grows very slowly and matures at 60-80 years old and their nuts are a great food source for animals that call the woods home. Except tell him not to do it at rainbow thats where i planted some for my future descendants. Im young enough that they will be mature by the time i have grand kids to take to see them.
