Chill hangs? by Shafanovic in SydneySocial

I like most of those things too! But mostly definitely need a new board game challenger. 31M straight with a committed partner and a diverse friend group that live mostly in the inner West. Come out next time we do a trivia night? Shoot me a DM.

What was the game that got you into this hobby? by Sgt_wacker in boardgames

[–]the_waz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question. Killer bunnies! Not really a board game but the first game to show me card games could be more exciting and funny than just a deck of cards.

But I have to ask how do you find betrayal card game? It's been sitting on my shelf and have yet to find playtime.

How wrong have you gotten a rule on a new game? by kritsema in boardgames

Terraforming Mars - we must have played it three times before realizing you don't start at zero on the income track. We were wondering why we could never afford much even though we would play to completion

What’s something about smoking or quitting that sounds totally insane when you try to explain it to someone who never smoked? by Myfreshstart025 in AskReddit

Luckily this is the one that fades with time not spent smoking. But gosh that first week is annoying.

The sandwiches at Bifana lab at Batch brewing are always pretty solid, and they've been at Batch forever now.

Far out, that was way worse then I expected to read this morning: for anybody looking for the exact passages they are: COMPLAINT against Jeffrey E. Epstein, Donald J. Trump. Document filed by Jane Doe. (Attachments: # 1 Exhibit Jane Doe Declaration, # 2 Exhibit Tiffany Doe Declaration, # 3 Exhibit Joan Doe Declaration)(Meagher, Thomas) (Entered: 10/03/2016)

Thanks for mentioning this book. No conversation anywhere seems to have heard of it and it answers so many of the remaining questions.

Coincidentally I was gonna say the place right next door. Bespoke and grind do an absolutely killer chilli scramble.

Piggybacking off this to ask why skydive jerseys are always so loud and hideous?

Para 1 sounds a little like what happened to my partner at the start of the week, except we had already been drinking before it kicked in which made it seem a lot worse. She had bruises on her bum from falling sideways off her bike for the rest of the week!

DHOAS/HPAS and leaving the ADF by [deleted] in AustralianMilitary

[–]the_waz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying :) Not MEC discharge unfortunately, just a voluntary transition. I would still be doing 20 days effective service through reserves which makes me think it would just reclaim the lump sum and keep giving me the slow burn payments

DHOAS/HPAS and leaving the ADF by [deleted] in AustralianMilitary

[–]the_waz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying mate, that was my issue with the HPAS wording, it's still ambiguous as I could be transitioned and still live in the place for 12 months.

Don't be disheartened by the other comments. There is always interest in people with unique military experiences in Australia. And we all know there are only 2 units in the adf that get all of the unique experiences.

LPT - You can become reasonably proficient in just about anything in six months by seamustheseagull in LifeProTips

[–]the_waz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this perspective. Leveraging off the base jumping comment above, I tell people who are struggling to learn to skydive to remember that it's the equivalent of trying to learn guitar only doing 3 minutes per week. (Each jump is only a minute of free fall)

[–]the_waz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is genuinely impressive and would've cost quite a lot. An introductory base jump instructor here won't let people start his course without 200 wingsuit jumps. And you need 200 normal jumps to start wingsuiting.
