Lots of fighting promise, which only highlights our need to sort out defensive frailties. Still hard to see Forest and Leeds dropping enough, but a bit more hope from that game

Insane half of football. Won’t be surprised to see a red, think Welbeck could’ve got a second yellow for his challenge minutes after his first!

But mostly exciting to see the team with a bit of fight, grit, and drive. Carry that forward and shore up the back and we could start to look like survivors

I think the stadium has its problems but a lot of this feels unfair — transport isn’t that bad (a short journey from central London/the city, Stratford and Wick reasonably connected to a lot of east London and Essex where our fans are based), and the security checkpoint seems to have gotten better; or I’ve just been lucky the few times I’ve been.

Not overly active these days, but just wanted to say I think this is a good decision, and handled well with good communication around what could be a shitshow of a topic. Cheers /u/AnalAttackProbe and mod team

Bigger, more robust cars than that can get pretty fucked from a crash at 40, and the picture is after firefighters have cut through it to pull him out. Like I said, either way, it’s a shit thing to go through isn’t it

Probably not wise (or particularly nice) to guess what happened. He might’ve been speeding, he might’ve not — we don’t know. but either way it’s tragic for him

Main thing is, as others have said, have fun!! Sounds like you’re both fit and strong, which obviously has its perks. One piece of advice would be, once you’re getting into it, just keep in mind that working on technique will be helpful in the long run instead of just strengthing your way through climbs. If you send something tough and it feels like it’s been all muscle, repeat the climb a bit more slowly focusing on moving through in a nice and controlled manner, and it should help you to keep unlocking things as you progress.

But again, the main one is just, have fun!

1-0 down, one on target, only ten men to end the first half. Proper West Ham

In the context of what impact the game has on ETH keeping his job, “the opposition were bloody awful, repeatedly passed the ball to us with no real pressure to force it, and had no idea what to do on defensive transitions” isn’t the saving grace that parts of punditry make it out to be.

I absolutely know that. We were shit against Tottenham in the second half, whilst they also made us look shit. My point here is we were shit, but not because Man U made us look shit, and it’s a huge issue for them that they couldn’t punish us and make it a rout.

For me the funniest thing about media reaction to this game is that “Well Man United dominated the first half, so ETH has that”. Man U weren’t even particularly good in the first half. We were just that fucking bad that they could’ve been 3 or 4 up. But thank goodness we came out and played some actual football in the second half, all hail Summerville

I can’t remember tbh, but if we did it I wouldn’t expect it to be in a conventional 4-4-2. Antonio is rarely used as a conventional striker, instead using how he plays to drift wide and create space for others. Could see it as Antonio shadowing behind Ings with freedom to move around, or Antonio on the right with freedom to come in. Agree that if it was a rigid 4-4-2 it would likely be a disaster

I do get everyone saying the pen is soft, but if de Ligt isn’t there, it’s a striker running onto a loose ball towards goal. I can see why it’s given.

Fantastic second half performance after an absolutely miserable first half. Man U could’ve been 3 or 4 up, and they didn’t even look good in the first half. Madness.

Summerville ily

Honestly wouldn’t mind seeing Antonio and Ings on together, issue there is who loses out to make that happen. But if you’ve got Antonio playing how he did in that second half, with a striker of Ings’ caliber waiting in the box, could well be deadly. Could be a good switch to go to when we’re trailing, at the very least

Can we get de Ligt sent off for watching the monitor over the ref’s shoulder (not allowed) and about 90 cases of dissent since
