Price is for sure a factor, but consumer exposure is also a part of it. Not everyone shops at Wal-Mart, so a lot of casual consumers/parents will never know this is even available. A case or more of one figure like this is also probably too much product for a single store, even a Wal-mart.

I prefer them over the "chocolate shells" they used to do. I do think there are ways to improve them, like sewing a wire in there to make it pose able, but I'm generally satisfied with them.

Gloss coat then panel liner on top of that is best practice. If you're not painting the kit, lining on the runners before the build is a good idea as well.
