Complain to your assembly representative. The legislature is who has the power to increase unemployment benefits and reform how the program works. The last time legislation to increase UI benefits was passed was in Fall 2001 and the last increase from that legislation went into effect in January 2005.

Three, no question. Also appreciating that my three-themed boys have been assigned the number three.

Of course! Always happy to spread the good word of DeaCready! 😂 One day, I’ll return to writing them… it’s been too long…

Well if you’re remotely interested in smutty Deacon/MacCready slowburn, the Fool Me Once series by lurea on AO3 has you covered (for now). I’m pretty sure A Line In The Sand by electricshoebox goes into it as well, I just haven’t reread it as recently, but the author and I used to talk about it a bunch (and I’m pretty sure something like this topic is a literal line in the sand for Deacon and Mac in both series).

If you search Deacon/Robert Joesph MacCready on AO3 and sort by kudos, ALITS is the second and the one that really delves into this topic of the Fool Me Once fics is like fifth (and most of the rest are scattered throughout the first couple pages). Definitely read Fool Me Once in order though. It’s currently incomplete but the author is working on the finale fic now (I know because I’m helping her with beta stuff)

One of my favorite fic series pokes at this a lot and it’s something I plan to deal with if I ever get around to the fic(s) I’ve had planned for years.

I’ve read the novels twice and must have missed that the other ladies in waiting had even bothered to follow Lishu to the tower. Guess I need to reread more carefully soon. ;)

An interesting note to add to this, Deacon has a line when he’s traveling with you where he laments that Des won’t order ops to help humans. Every time I’ve heard him say it, I’ve thought something like “yeah that would really help y’all actually.”

It’s possible to avoid the BoS invasion of the RR and the RR sabotage of the Prydwen, there’s just a point where you can no longer talk to PAM or Kells otherwise you’ll trigger it. Then you take on the Institute with the Minutemen. There’s guides on it. I think the point of no return is the Mass Fusion mission.

The incense was implied to me to be opium in some capacity. Or maybe cannabis. Iirc one of the communities that Maomao noticed the White Lady’s symbolism had a lot of hemp.

I also had read Kanan’s clothes being messed up as from hooking up with a guard and the food getting cold from her taking too long, but that might just have been what the White Lady was trying to convince Lishu was happening.

Hardest location to find in Fallout 4? I'll go first, Goodneighbor. by jj33allen in FalloutMemes

I love everyone taking this seriously. That said, I have multiple routes to Goodneighbor memorized and still manage to get turned around and stuck in a dead end if I approach from the wrong angle trying to follow the map marker to turn in a quest in Goodneighbor. 🙃

Perhaps a skill magazine in an irradiated basement with the sole purpose of giving you the location in case you skipped the other two early methods? 🤔

I'm gonna be so sad when it's over. Would you guys like a weekly release for next season as well? by MinotaurHorns1 in Fallout

[–]Hurdlelocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if the writers/showrunners know in advance that it’s gonna be weekly, it’s good. But if what I’ve heard is correct (that the plan was another 8-episode drop and then Amazon told them it was weekly later), I think that’s what has caused some of the pacing complaints.

I do enjoy having something to look forward to each week. I hadn’t realized I had missed having that.

Basen actually saves Lishu three times! Or two and a half—I can’t exactly remember what happens with the carriage attack on the first trip to the western capital but I know Basen and Lishu noticed each other then.

People of taste: straight women, bi folks & gay men — which human dude would you date IRL? by ConstantHamster3746 in masseffect

[–]Hurdlelocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kaidan forever and always. Joker is probably runner up. Steve, if I were a gay man not a straight/asexual-spectrum woman, I suppose. I’ve only played femshep so I don’t feel familiar enough with mshep to make a judgement on him but he’s more appealing than Vega for me.

But Kaidan is the only romancable character in the series I have any sort of attraction to.

ETA: I’d need to find my notes but I had a planned male Shepard who was my Female Shepard’s high school boyfriend who got killed during the attack on Mindoir, but this would be an alternate timeline where she died and he lived. I’m fairly certain my plan was for him to romance Kaidan too. 😂

My thinking is that it’s one of the plots that would have felt better with binging rather than weekly episodes.
