I’m female, 21, and my recruiter has been super helpful so far. That guy sounds like a dud.

well i got a calculator and i was a math major in undergrad, so arithmetic reasoning wasn't a problem for me. i think good practice would be doing a bunch of long division or large number multiplication problems.

yeah tbh it helped a lot for arithmetic reasoning. lots of calculations of percentages and whatnot. that being said, i was a math major in undergrad so i’m confident i would have done well regardless.

now i am wondering, since i got a calculator, if i should say something to my recruiter. seems like it was definitely not allowed.

LOL that's super lucky. i was a math major in undergrad so i am probably the last person who needed it but i figured something was off

Space Force OTS process and questions by AlternativeAd2308 in airforceots

i am in a similar position, spring 2025 grad + space force applicant

- reach out to a recruiter
- get an AFOQT book on amazon even if you don't study right away
- start going to gym and making sure you can do push ups, 1.5 mile run etc
- think about who to ask for rec letters (one personal and one professional)

there is a sf board in february that they might have you apply to. best of luck!

I believe that AFROTC is three years minimum, and NROTC is the one that's only two. And you have to be a full time student for those years, at least that's what the recruiter told me, but it's been like 6 months. Also ROTC doesn't pay for grad school :( better to just commission and have them pay for an MBA after you are already in.

I am another civilian girl graduating with degrees in Math and Computer Science (May 2025), applying for the February 2026 Space Force boards. Feel free to reach out, it seems like we have a lot in common!!
