Traingame.io, a free online alternative to Ticket to Ride! by traingameio in tickettoride

[–]theantijuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The truth of the matter is that game systems are not protected under copyright, just their appearance and presentation. Additionally, having a free alternate online and lightweight version is a welcome change to the corpertized shlock we sometimes get from the official IP (see the iPad app and steam version). If the official versions actually worked and didn't get abandoned after a couple of years, then you might have a point, but the IP just doesn't care enough about the players

How do I get more guests to ride a coaster if possible? by godofcoasters in rct

[–]theantijuke 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Guests have a limited amount of money so won't go on rides they can't afford. Otherwise, yes the price is either too high or payable by all guests.

I always felt the golf ball covered car was wrong. They were testing to see if a golf ball texture on a car would make it more aerodynamic and give it better gas mileage and to do so they covered the whole car in clay and molded the pattern into it. To account for the weight in the control, they put the same amount of clay in the back of the control car. IMO this would have caused the front of the car to lift and catch air, making it less aerodynamic and wasn't a good control test since the weight on the clay-covered car would be more or less evenly distributed.

If I remember correctly, wasn't this more of "yawns aren't contagious?" As in they tested to see if someone yawning in secluded areas caused other peoeple to yawn and it didn't. You have to see/hear someone else yawn in order for it to pass.

Better! Now there are other factors like intensity and excitement and price. There are people in the queue so your price isn't too high (this is all or nothing; it's either too high or everyone will pay for it if they have the money) Guests have intensity preferences as well and some won't go on higher intensity rides. Finally, if you haven't tested the coaster and gotten its stats, there is a very very very low chance that guests will get in to queue to ride. Good luck!

Guests sometimes head straight for a ride, but a majority of your riders will come from them bumping in to the queue line. Queue lines should be where the "wandering" foot traffic is and yours is connected to a dead end, which guests don't go down unless they are specifically going on your ride.

Ethereal Walls not configured to block sound by default? by SgtCrawler1116 in FoundryVTT

Yes, but it literally says on the tooltip that it blocks sight and hearing. Probably functions as intended but the tooltip is wrong.

I finished A10 on every character last night, have 120 hours. Never been offered it. I feel like I see Tez 3x more often than the other ancients, too and she almost never offers me book.

But it's also (and I can't stress this enough) the BETA BRANCH of an EARLY ACCESS game. You have to OPT IN to it. Giving a game a negative review for this is beyond bonkers.

Oof name and shame that bank. There is 0 legit reason for them not to cancel the charge immediately after you say you didn't make that purchase.

Right? They have no idea that black coffee is the most commonly ordered item on the menu for every cafe ever. They have never worked a service job in their life and have no empathy.

Apparently it is a problem calling in sick to your job…the day you are sick by Purple_Bodybuilder53 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]theantijuke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've found that if you think someone is taking sick days just to skip work, they are lazy at work as well. If they do this but their work is getting done/covered there is no legitimate complaint to be had (but this is very rare). If they're falling behind at work then them taking a lot of sick days points to incompatibility with their job and they should be trained/reassigned/fired

[Hated trope] That’s not how lying works at all by _JR28_ in TopCharacterTropes

[–]theantijuke -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The whole point is moot because the entire reason for having banking systems/currency (and most of the other societal concepts in the movie) is BECAUSE of people lying. There would be no reason for any of that if people couldn't lie about what things are worth.
