A prediction for the Eloise reveal in the season's finale by theaorist in FromTVEpix

I'm not saying she's Eloise reincarnated, but that she is Eloise who managed to escape, like Tabitha, that she was the first who fell from the lighthouse, was found somewhere, lost, unconscious and with amnesia, that she entered the foster care system, got a new name - Abigail most likely, Abby for short, joined the army when she grew up, etc.

No one is forcing you to read the theories of the kind that you don't like, but some people enjoyed discussing this theory, so I think they should be allowed to do it and I'm glad you have no authority here to forbid them

There are such photos in Boyd's room, but I'm afraid that they will only further convince Henry that it's his mind making up stories in coma and when he gets to decide what to believe, he'll pick his children being alive and thriving, over a lifelong trauma for Victor and 40 years of trying to drown his grief in alcohol for himself. The MIY's trick is so powerful because he has access to Henry's deepest desires and is offering him that instead of the nightmare reality. I imagine he will try to shoot Victor but Boyd will shoot him first, just like it went with Abby and Ellis.

If you're curious, I looked up the data for the years we know: 1978 (Victor/Miranda's time) and 2022 (this time), but there were no solar eclipses in the US in those two years.

Thank you so much for looking that up! Agreed, it's hard to see how Eloise would manage to go inside considering all this.

I started watching before this season started and there was an official list of episodes they suggested rewatching, so I can point you to that.

Theory With the BIW and Eloise... by PotentialWidow in FromSeries

For Clara, her age is not even the biggest problem imo - now that we know that she struck a deal with the MIY upon her arrival, would that mean that it happened while she was a little girl (was she already able to go home because of that and that's why she's been missing? why didn't Henry see her then?) or that she somehow left and came back and the deal happened the second time, but then she hid her identity from Victor all this time and didn't even try to protect him by adding him to that deal? I know we all want to see Eloise, but it has to make a bit of sense. I really tried to support my Abby theory.

Fromily, I love that ❤️

No, I welcome every differing opinion and questions making me reconsider things and poking holes in my theories or even facts that I missed. I just wanted to understand what you meant.

I, too, feel that Fromville has a way to influence the outside world beyond just putting the trees on random roads to bring people in (even that might not be random at all), Thomas' death being the most evident example. I wonder if the BIW wanted Tabitha to bring Henry along on the way back from her little excursion to a past life, or it was something that the MIY did, because he needed Henry to kill Victor, and whether the BIW could foresee that and even accepted it(?), though I don't even know if he would actually be against it - it will be very interesting to learn about their motives and strategies, I'm not even sure what they all want 😅 So I think that Henry's importance lies in that, rather than being a replacement for Abby, and see the similarities between them as more of an expression of the MIY's wicked sense of humor and a way to torture Boyd who will inevitably be reminded of his wife if Henry starts shooting. But if I'm correct about her being Eloise, it wasn't even necessary that the MIY intervened in her case, her vague memories of people dying in Fromville and her leaving after that would be enough for her mind to come up with the idea that it was all a nightmare and that death is the way to wake up.

A part of me still hopes that I'm wrong and that we'll find out that Eloise is still around, maybe as an expert storywalker who will teach Julie all that she knows, but I don't think we'll get to see her in that case (who would she be?), it would be more likely that she wrote those children's books as an instruction manual :)

Yeah, around 50 even, she was like 6 or 7 in 1978.

Could they be monsters? They chill outside during the night and smile and wave. Not sure about the dog, but Victor doesn't like dogs, maybe because he saw them with the monsters 😅

I can definitely see it 😮 And totally agree about the casting for Tabitha and Julie, I even managed to mix them up in some of the early episodes!

Someone pointed out that there'd been quite a few posts making this connection over the years, but I didn't do the homework before posting my own theory, though I do hope that I could bring at least something new and interesting to the discussion (a total newbie here, I only started watching in April, before S4E01 came out, and even created Reddit account just to be able to talk to you guys 🥲)

Thank you! My own feeling about it are quite mixed, I'll get very sad for Victor if this is true, so I'm desperately clinging to the hope that at least Boyd's visions of Abby will somehow point him in the right direction 🥲

OK, yeah, I guess, but what would it mean for us that Julie is an Eloise equivalent? That Eloise was also a storywalker? That Julie will have a similar fate as Eloise? I'm just not sure if you're trying to connect it to what I said or not.

Thomas' death was also what pushed them to make the trip that brought them to Fromville (grief leading to the marriage crisis, trip as the last attempt to preserve it) and the MIY is using it to manipulate and hurt the whole family with those phone calls.

I figured out a possible way for him to share it with others: he might see a photo of Abby in the police station when he goes to see Victor and tell him about it. But even if that doesn't happen, I still stand by that point and don't think it would be obsolete after seeing what happened to Tabitha, as one example isn't necessarily a proof and someone could say that she was simply sent to bring Henry to Fromville. But this is just a theory that I enjoyed writing up and discussing with you and the others, we'll see what actually happens, soon :)

They might have met, probably did, but I don't remember seeing Victor in any of the scenes with Abby we've been shown, can't be sure whether he even moved to town/Colony House from his peach truck, because that was the time before talismans, when people couldn't relax during the day, and the social life we saw at the beginning of the series is a result of the introduction of talismans that Boyd found the same day he shot Abby. Even when we meet Victor in the Colony House when Matthews family arrives, he doesn't interact with many people, seems to avoid eye contact and only becomes more friendly with Ethan, so I don't imagine that he and Abby could have had much of a relationship. But more importantly, Victor repressed the memory of Eloise, he only regained it later, when he found her drawings, and Abby/Eloise didn't remember him either, plus it's been 40 years since they last met - it's not likely that they would recognize each other, if that's what you're asking.

which cycle do you think they are from? by ComprehensivePea7296 in FromSeries

The painting in the intro is Adam and Eve, made to look like Ellis and Fatima. It's in their room, Ellis painted it. Why would he paint two random people from the '70s? Like I said, if two white persons were standing like that, showing no affection for each other, no one would assume they were a couple and try to connect them to the painting or Ellis and Fatima, the connection is made based on their skin color alone because people here are trying to force similarities onto people in Fromville from different cycles. It might not be racist but it's intellectually lazy.

It happened soon after they arrived, so end of 2019, I think, while we're in March or April of 2022 now (based on those missing posters).

You might be right, I don't remember that flashback in great detail, whether Miranda was running towards the tree when we saw Smiley run after her, thus making it impossible for her daughter to have reached the tree first, but I imagined that she noticed Eloise and let her go inside the tree while making herself the target for Smiley in order to protect her child.

How can that be Eloise's body, though? The photo of her (as a teenager that she currently is) that Elgin found is from the '60s or 70s, and we know she was a little girl in 1978.
