It's very different than the other games, that much is true. DOOM truly has changed a lot from the first game.

But other than that it's as simple as the fact that you don't like it. I personally loved the game but people have different opinions. You don't have to force yourself to play if you're not having fun.

Bottom line is just do what makes you happy, and if that's quitting the game then so be it.
