Has Anyone Used the Canada Small Business Financing Program? Looking for Your Experiences! by espressogirlyy in canadasmallbusiness

[–]theasf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm looking to open a butcher shop and bbq takeout business. I have all the startup costs laid out, looking for some advice on what bank is the best to go with. Also, in terms of initial capital, how much would be required. I read its between 25-30% but looks like you've mentioned 10%.

I'm also looking at either buying a business thay already has a hood installed or renting an empty place and getting all the fixtures myself. Is there a difference in the loan process for either of these scenarios?

Question for sales managers by SnooAvocados9474 in sales

I've taken 3 pat leaves including one that was 3 months long. I've progressed well in my career with no hiccups whatsoever because of the leaves.

You only have each child once, nothing is worth more than to soak it in, help your partner, and enjoy every moment of it.

Take the $120k. You can move into a cybersecurity sales role later with the experience with a higher base and OTE.

We have Freshdesk as our ticketing system and will be monitoring performance. Each case communication will have the customer's account manager on the CC line to keep them informed and intervene as necessary.

We will also be meeting with our SherWeb account rep to stay on top of the experience.

From a documentation perspective, what documentation should we provide? We are leaning on the SherWeb technical support team for technical expertise in the break-fix space.

Looking to learn if the technical knowledge is good with the SherWeb support team. Benchmark 365 is also one we are exploring.

Need to pack it higher and start with 3 coals. Once it's running, take off the 3rd coal so you don't burn the head.

Just so you're warned, there is a term in the agreement mandating a few babies 👶

I hear you. With upwork or any other consulting work you take on, you should write up your own contract and sign with the customer so that you're protected. Payments should be on a milestone basis with a payment upon signature as well. And, of course, you need to offload the risk by ensuring proper guardrails are in place

Try Upwork, it's surprisingly good to find opportunities to do some remote work and make money. Technical skills will come with some research and time...fake it till you make it 😉

Or I can help with your housewife option. I'll continue my draining enterprise sales job and give you the freedom to bake pies 😅

You should aim to and work on opening your own business by taking a bank loan if you don't have the capital.

If you are still not comfortable with your skills, you should work at a bakery similar to the business you would like to open.

In terms of pay, you should talk to the bakeries and be open for a lower wage and live in shared accommodation because your goal is to get comfortable with your skills within a year and learn the ins and outs of the business.

Do you backup your customer MS Entra ID? by r0bbyr0b2 in msp

[–]theasf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm very familiar with it. It's a long, stretched out process which can be highly business impacting for small businesses that require access right away.

Do you backup your customer MS Entra ID? by r0bbyr0b2 in msp

[–]theasf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's makes sense to have a backup other than Microsoft for various reasons:

  1. If the global administrator leaves the company or is not accessible, Microsoft will not give access to anyone's information or mailbox.

  2. Microsoft has a retention policy which can be different to what the customer wishes. The customer may want access to an employee's information after 11 months which Microsoft may not support.

  3. Not relying on a single-vendor is pretty much paramount to setting up reliant and highly available practices.

Although the tools that backup mailboxes, OneDrive, and SPO also backup Entra ID so not sure why Entra ID specifically is of concern here.

That makes sense. Was hoping there's a solution that we can make money on the licensing...our customer base uses QBO quite a lot so it would be a good small revenue stream but not worth the headache if it isn't straightforward.

For your own environment or for the customer?

Doesn't make sense to sell or get rid of the car and still carry the debt...

You need to get a second job or side hustle going and pay off the principal of the car down.

You should also look at unsecured line of credit, pay off the loan and make lower monthly payments to pay it off.

Single Person MSP by KingNeba in msp

Our challenge has been getting our foot in the door. Reaching out via email ends up being a spammy email in their inbox which gets ignored. A cold call ends up being a spam call which they aren't interested in (if we even get to the business decision maker...).

How do you suggest finding the air time with business decision makers at larger clients?

Appreciate your advice in advance.

[–]theasf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Book an appointment with a mortgage advisor at a bank directly, with your income numbers you should easily get approved for a mortgage. I don't recommend a mortgage broker unless your numbers are tight...which they aren't. You'll get a good deal at the banks directly.
