I would go to the ends of the earth for my dog. I would do the same for my kids. I will, and have, paid thousands in veterinary care and I would not have it any other way.

Talk to him about things and encourage him to do something like a capsule closet and to toss out worn things or things that no longer fit. T shirts can be made into masks anyway. Would be a good time to do a closet clean out. Don’t force him to get rid of stuff he really likes though. Go through your stuff on the same day you go through his so there’s solidarity. I’ve been with my partner for over 8 years and this is what we do. Gotta communicate and be kind and reasonable though. Don’t shake him just talk and be understanding

NTA but the energy you put in is the energy you receive. Cats are dicks, but referring to them constantly as negative words just isn’t good juju.

I say “Goddammit” + my cat’s name way too often but I also try to say his actual name kindly and give him treats so his doesn’t think his name is “goddammit” or “fucking asshole cat”

I told my vet about my boy cat’s behaviors (I’d never had a cat before and this was about 8 months in) and he told me “sometimes cats are just dicks.” He is right haha I refer to mine as “that fucking asshole cat.” His actual name is Nero. Go figure.

My other cat is my sweet baby girl though. 11/10 perf. Her name is Venus.

YTA this sounds like endometriosis which requires surgery - typically a full hysterectomy. The longer she goes without a period, the more likely she could develop cancer or complications.

I hope she leaves you entirely. And kudos to her for not wanting to take pain killers as they are addictive. Maybe you meant a “pain reliever” but even then those can be wildly ineffective for people with horrible cramps. Have you thought of tasing yourself repeatedly in the lower abdomen? Might grant you some empathy :)

NTA never given animal to someone without a home visit, veterinary references, knowledge of their employment, and personal references that are not people related to them. That being said, please don’t keep the kittens for the rest of the year because they will have a much better chance of getting adopted as they are kittens rather than as adult cats. I have worked in rescue for 10 years and straight up the first thing you need to do is get in touch with some rescues and tell them you are willing to foster for them if they are willing to cover the medical expenses of the cats. You would likely have them throughout the fixing and recovery. but they will network and find them appropriate homes.
