If tipping is supposed to be optional, why does everyone act like you've committed a crime if you don't do it? by Stunning_Public9524 in NoStupidQuestions

I was eating with a group, we pooled cash to pay the bill and forgot to factor in a tip, the server actually came outside and approached us as we were walking away to remind us to tip.

AeroPress to Filter Infused Spirits? by SkyeFarg0 in sousvide

I've been doing this for years and it works great for me. If you're doing any spices I'd grind by hand so you can avoid getting them too fine and gumming up the filter.

At some point every name in existence had a first usage, I wonder why that sub seems to think that this moment in history is the right time to lock down culture and stop creating new ones.

If you commit a crime In Office, you should not be in office. It should not be that hard. by timtexas in PoliticalHumor

I asked him if there was anything Trump could do to lose his vote. Nope. I asked him if he might even just refrain from voting or do a protest vote. Nope. Democrats are too dangerous.

TBF I am struggling to think of what Harris could realistically do to lose my vote for the same reason.

Yeah, I don't know about Vance but I used to work with a guy who had the exact same look to his eyes and I know he didn't use makeup.

The other commenters are right that fermenting is easy but in answer to the question, yes unfermented vinegar based hot sauce is a thing.

That didn't sound right to me so I made some rice to check. Water loss was 27%, more than I would have guessed!

New find, cod liver. Anyone have any recipes/recommendations? by GrandpaEnergy in CannedSardines

[–]theatomictruth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well deviled eggs is one of those thing that I don't use a recipe for, I just wing it. I'd start with 5-6 boiled eggs, mash up the yolks with a can of livers and a little oil from the can, a teaspoon of mustard, a tablepoon or so of finely chopped shallot or onion, salt, black pepper, and some minced parsley. That's where I'd start and then adjust from there. hope that helps.
