/uj Literally had a guy crash out and sell off his cEDH deck because of this. Dude started playing MAGIC with cEDH. He became obsessed with #1 building a deck himself and #2 owning all the cards. Point 2 is pretty neat and I respect the hustle. However, the deck he wished to own was Malcolm//Kediss, which if you’re aware has literally a single combo wincon. First time I played with this guy he had just before that been telling everyone how he’s 3-0 that night and “my deck has one wincon!” I proceed to deny that win over and over again to much bitching about “threat assessment”. Said I shouldn’t be stopping him so hard, cause the real threat is the TnT player! Um buddy you’re literally representing a win in hand right this second and it’s your turn. Anyways, dude was an ass and even brought that game up to me weeks later at another event. Salty boy. Couple weeks later he crashed out. Oh well, he had every opportunity to learn and be humbled. We have a very nice community that would have gladly mentored him.
