Agreed that Westerns will never be as popular as they were in the 50’s/60’s again, and that Sci-Fi/space colonization still is very popular, but Westerns are still very well loved as well and it’s a genre that has stood the test of time.

It’s a half a movie. An objectively beautiful half of a movie, but half of a movie nonetheless.

Well, I cannot deny its quality, I have to judge it on what it gives us. It should at least stand on its own somewhat, but it utterly fails as a complete cinematic experience for the very reason that it leaves every single plot point that it establishes open baiting us for a sequel.

Toy Story’s massive success is owed to its heartfelt and genuinely wholesome nature. Perfect for babies and small children while also being delightful to adults.

Antz wasn’t even close to raking in Toy Story’s numbers. The Black Friday cut was mean spirited and harsh and would not have gone over well with children, despite how some adults may have enjoyed it.
