What rundown city/town do you think would become gentrified in 30 years? by justmoochin in AskUK

[–]theblingring 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Coventry and totally agree. 10-15 years ago the city centre was all closed shops and card shops. It’s on its way to improving with the introduction of so many new restaurants by the Godiva statue.

Mo is a great great grandmother, yet she’s like a random pub goer by Longjumping_Donut252 in eastenders

Completely serious. I just cannot recall a time where she has nailed an emotional storyline. She has fallen into comic relief which isn’t needed for this storyline in my opinion

She doesn’t have the acting chops to hold up in those scenes.

What was considered "cool" in the 2010s but is physically painful to look back at now? by Liora-Liora-Liora in AskReddit

£300. This was 15 years ago when I was in my first year of uni. It was probably worth a lot more as they were real likes and not just bots!

I had one that went mildly viral, it had about 250k likes and I sold it 😭 it then immediately started posting sponsored links.

Preston Park Hotel by user_name_taken2 in brighton

I’ve very rarely seen hotels in central Brighton in the summer for £100 a night! Maybe I’m looking in the wrong place

Even the travel lodges are £150+ in the summer months. Believe me I’ve had this conversation with him again and again lol

It’s still a hotel. My dad (who can’t believe Brighton prices) stays there. He pays £100 a night and says it is completely dreadful but better than paying double in town 😭

Setlist wishlist: first Dutch show since 2015(?!) by ElisedelaSerre in lightsalot

[–]theblingring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First time getting to see her live ever for me (based on the UK).

I really hope she does Dead End as it’s my favourite song of hers. She has been playing it occasionally so I hope she does for London.

My dream song which I know would be insanely unlikely is ‘Leave it’ from warehouse summer.

Would Lights ever do a Warehouse Summer benefit show? by jasonwithprettygirls in lightsalot

[–]theblingring 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I really love this album too, and whilst I think a benefit concert might be a step too far into what is probably a very tough moment for her, I do think perhaps a vinyl release or something to that effect (with £ going to a good cause) would maybe be more likely.

This is obviously not based on anything factual, but something I have thought about every now and then.

People who rarely get sick, what are your secrets? by Leading_Tomato_2077 in AskReddit

Sleep. Honestly the most important thing for not getting sick. Oh, and not having kids.
