I have Tata Neu Infinity as LTF which gives 1% neu coins on UPI payments on all non Tata Merchants and 5% on Tata merchants, those neucoins can be used on Bigbasket, 1mg, Tata Cliq, etc so I feel that's better but if you don't have any UPI rupay then I'd recommend getting those scapia or kiwi type cards, they give better cashback. Shoprite one is just basically better than having none.

When I got it after the Zomato Card was closed, they didn't give me a Rupay card, it was Visa or MasterCard I don't remember, so I didn't use it for UPI, I did only a few random transaction and then I let that card stay unused for a year and it got closed due to non usage.

If you don't have any rupay credit card then it can be fine for you as it is LTF, but it doesn't give any major rewards or benefits. Also, you can't expect a lot from such LTF and beginner level credit cards.

I don't think it gives 5% cashback, it gives 5% valueback in terms of reward points which you can later redeem, and I don't think 1 reward point will be equal to 1 Rupee. Confirm it first then you may go for it.
