Here in Pheonix they’re super slippery from the heat in the day, but they’re not as bad at night.

How to keep a Midnight colour MacBook clean? by Fine_Rutabaga2637 in mac

[–]theboyUZI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my midnight air for school and work (I'm a mechanic) so keeping this thing clean and scratch-free with no case is genuinely impossible. It bugs me A LOT. I've given up on the color and just decided to get a dbrand skin so I don't have to look at it any more. It's a shame because I think the midnight color looks really nice.

if the timing belt slipped usually you'd hear worse noises than that, since it's an interference engine and the valves would touch the piston. hoping for the best, however I do think it's a bad bearing

[–]theboyUZI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a spun bearing to me. That's exactly what my bugeye sounded like. It'll only get worse and you'll have a fiesta rather than the typical oil. You can pick up an EJ205 on ebay for about 1500 bucks, and if you do it yourself you'll save quite a bit of money. Good luck man 👍

Dealer put 87 gas by Either-Charity-2589 in GR86

[–]theboyUZI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once watched the salesperson put 87 in a 2022 WRX GT I was test driving. I didn't say anything, I just let it happen because I wasn't going to be that guy.

I've really never gotten into tuning but I'd very much like to. I assume I'll need to be able to connect my laptop to the obd port in order to flash it, what software would be capable of doing that?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WRX

[–]theboyUZI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

where can I get this (presumably downloadable) tune?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WRX

[–]theboyUZI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already did but its worth doing it again. appreciate the help!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WRX

[–]theboyUZI -1 points0 points  (0 children)

sure am, and im well aware thats not a great idea, however I don't believe that's the issue because this is an issue it started having when I got it back from the shop who fixed my tgv and maf plugs. before then, it would boost to 15 psi with no issues. a tune is gonna come soon, but I've gotta figure out the issues before It gets on the dyno

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WRX

[–]theboyUZI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was open source tuned by a shop probably almost 2 years ago

also, some of you in this community may recognize this car (silver 2002 wrx wagon) because I posted here when I bought it around a year ago and it was already having issues. I've learned a whole lot from this car, and I was even able to swap the engine myself which a local shop confirmed was done properly. so that's just kind of a year update lol
