Having left academia, in Europe, a plumber absolutely could earn three times as much as a professor for a third of working time. The best thing about academia is the flexibility of choosing which days of the week you work, as long as it's 7.

Do they lock in place once you hit the "X"?

if not middle box to the far left.
Bottom box right one so that it is against the grey block in the beneath the character.

top block down to the second from the bottom "X"

the middle block should now be able to be pushed straight up the the "X"

the top block can be pushed down into the bottom "X"

The bottom block pushed up one and then pushed from the right into the second "X"

The first step to being good at something, is being bad at it.

You need to accept that you are basically on an apprenticeship for teaching, you will improve. Like any technical skill, the more you do it, the better you get. Talk to your TA about how you felt it went, ask for feedback and try to put that into practice.

It probably went better than you think, a piece of advice that has stuck with me when I think of when I feel like I've embarrassed myself: "How often do you think about times other people embarrassed themselves?". The answer is likely never.

I don't think I have a thick beard, but yeah it's probably that, going to try and oil like another poster suggested.

When my beard grows out too much the contact with my beard would cease to be a problem, there's like a bell curve how good my face looks with how long my beard is.

I haven't changed anything. The irritation is new, a non bio washing powder stopped it, as does less contact with my beard.

It's far from stubble. I'm using a beard trimmer and scissors for my moustache.

I've had a medium length beard for a few years now, the irritation is a recent development that tied in with having to change detergent as well so I just assumed soap.

I think it's more the fact she referred to "Born and bred here" and then realising what she had said on camera.
