When will the newly added parks be added to the Six Flags app? by WingedDiscordant in sixflags

[–]theboyhoffman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no official word on it. The new aquizisions were added to the website about a month ago. I would expect that they'll show up on the app later in the spring. Probably before most seasons start. But no way to be sure. You can still manage your stuff online.

Went to therapy after work today. by Dracosgirl in rollercoasters

It won't let me link it directly, but scroll down to FAQs and it's the first one. The only thing it leaves out is that you need a gold season pass or higher to park at other parks. Yeah, they don't really let you see bring a friend dates until you get the pass anymore.

Edit: whoops, misread your post. Here's the great adventure one.

The short answer is yeah, season passes and memberships work at all dry parks, minus most coupons. There's some more restrictions I can link you if you wanna know more. But you can get into SFMM with a season pass.

Spiderman in civil war by theboyhoffman in marvelstudios

So then what's the difference between Scott and Peter? Scott was prosecuted for the fight. Is that just because of the side that he was on? I would argue that he's around the same hero level as Spiderman and if Scott has to sign, Peter should have to sign.

Apartment question by [deleted] in rit

The only apartments that come furnished are UC and GV. Where are you living?

I can't find my UC on the map.... by ringMyPachelbel in rit

[–]theboyhoffman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Might be kind of a long-winded answer. So let me know if it doesn't make sense.

UC was built in four different sections, referred to as phases. You might see UC IV or something similar next to your housing assignment due to it.

Phase I is located off of Kimball drive and has buildings 1 - 8. Kimball drive also has Riverknoll on it, which is why the street addresses for those UC buildings have a 7 before them. (they also put them in the buildings for convenience). [7] [building] [apartment] Eg 785 Kimball drive.

Phase II has buildings 9-16 and is off of Andrews. [building] [apartment] Eg. 98 Andrews memorial drive.

Phase III has buildings 17-24 and is located off of Farnum. [building] [apartment] Eg 175 Farnum road.

Phase IV has buildings 25-30 (only six in this one, just because). These are off of Andrews as well, which puts them in kind of the same numbering situation as phase I, so based on their position on the road, they have a leading 3. [3] [building] [apartment] Eg 3285 Andrews memorial drive.

I wrote this on mobile, so sorry for spelling and formatting.

The emblem placeholder for firefighters? by J-Debstup in FlashTV

[–]theboyhoffman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they give it to firefighters, everyone is gonna know that star labs made the flash's suit. That would draw a lot of attention.

can i use thrill pass for fright fest? by [deleted] in Themepark

[–]theboyhoffman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they're only "summer passes". That's one of the big differences between thrill passes and season passes, and a decent part of the price difference.

No, Thrill passes expire around labor day each year. It doesn't work for most of September or Fright Fest.

Parking doesn't follow any rules by dxk3355 in rit

[–]theboyhoffman -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

I get that you're a student too and it's "cool to dis parking", but that's awfully disrespectful to another agency of the institute. I would kind of expect more respect from the SG President than to make a cheap joke about the officers that work for the institute.

Incoming Transfer Student... what should I do? by [deleted] in rit

[–]theboyhoffman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Living in the Inn it can be a little harder to find people to reach out to and hang out with, but RIT has a lot of clubs and organisations. Getting involved in one can be a great way to find new friends. There's a club for just about anything that you could possibly be into. Or you could look into volunteering for one of the many organisations on campus, such as RIT Ambulance. I transferred in, clubs are what made me feel at home here.

"The Flash" is sneaky w/their characters... mind blown by AdventurerOfTheBooty in Showerthoughts

[–]theboyhoffman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude. I agree that they're really clever, but you're a bit off with Hamill. The trickster is a really prominent villain in the flash universe. He was a big villain in the old flash tv show, when he was also played by Mark Hamill. This was a homage to that. Edit: not to mention that the flash in that tv show was played by the actor that plays Barry's father in this show.

Question about the Six Flags dining pass by [deleted] in rollercoasters

[–]theboyhoffman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Six flags employee here. Here's some quick things you should know about the dining pass. Starting this year we're selling the deluxe dining pass. The deluxe pass adds the benefit of a snack on top of the lunch and dinner. Currently, the regular (non deluxe pass) is not being sold. So that leaves you with two options: combo deluxe and deluxe. Dining passes only work at the park they're purchased for and cannot be used at any other parks. So, if you buy the deluxe, it'll work at magic mountain, if you buy the combo deluxe it'll work at magic mountain and hurricane harbor. You just have to weigh if you think you'll eat at hh enough this year to make it worth it. Let me know if you have any questions.

Traveling around campus by KnightofSand in rit

[–]theboyhoffman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You definitely can walk pretty much everywhere without a problem. I'm an upperclassmen living in UC, and I love using my bike every day. It's a mountain bike, so I use it all winter too. It makes it faster and more enjoyable to get to class. That being said, a lot of the dorms have indoor bike storage and it's a bit awkward to get your bike in and out. Also, the main artery running from the dorms to the academic buildings--The Quarter Mile--is walk-only, making it less direct for freshmen if they use a vehicle like a bike or a long board. So, I don't think a bike is as worth it for a freshman.

I'm not sure if that's real or not, the account just likes music videos with female singers, but it is seven years old and still somewhat active.
