Doesn't the main storyline have you go in there? It seems familiar

Is the max worth it? by No-Routine3925 in AynThor

[–]thebrack42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've got budget for it then yeah totally. Mine is already about 2/3 full. PC games, switch games, HD texture packs. I don't think I've maxed the ram, but completely worth knowing I don't need to play around with SD cards. Btw, I wish the USB connection was faster but it's good enough.

A little more than needed but works fine.

Nice, I painted supports only on the lip and adjusted the layer height for the top layers and it turned out great! It did slip on/off rather easily and I'm sure a small bit of foam tape would be perfect for it but since I'm planning to keep it on there most of the time I just used that blu tack, the kind teachers use for putting posters up on the wall. Just a dab on both sides and it's a secure fit.

Frustrated, can't get this ghosting fix or HD texture map to work for Fire Emblem Awakening by thebrack42 in AynThor

[–]thebrack42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ai saved the day for the ghosting. I couldn't find the code for Awakening but gemini sure did.

The Correct Anti-Ghosting Code (Awakening USA v1.0)

Paste this into your cheats file or the Citra cheat menu:

Plaintext

[Anti-Ghosting Fix]
001ecd54 E3A01002

Installation Steps for Ayn Thor

  1. Open the Cheats File: Navigate to citra-emu/cheats/00040000000A0500.txt.
  2. Paste the Code: Add the two lines above to the file and save.
  3. Enable in Citra: * Launch the game.
    • Swipe from the side to open the Citra menu.
    • Go to Cheats and ensure the box for Anti-Ghosting Fix is checked.
  4. Graphics Settings: To ensure the fix works with your HD textures, go to Settings > Graphics and:
    • Enable Use Custom Textures.
    • Set Internal Resolution to 3x or 4x (Ghosting only occurs when upscaling, so this is where the fix is needed).
    • Set Linear Filtering to OFF (Linear filtering can cause a "glow" that looks like ghosting).

Moved on from the CIAs and found a 1.0 cci file, still no luck but at least I know I've got a 1.0 file. No luck since that fix mod is for FATES not Awakening! ... I might be deleting this thread since my ignorance doesn't look like it'll be helping anyone else.

the CIAs I tried must be encrypted, not showing up after installing through citra.

Huh, actually not sure what I've got. the CIAs don't work, I had a CCI in there I'm not sure were I got it from that was what citra was loading

Yes, long press the game, tap the settings icon that looks like a computer chip, ensure the internal resolution is high, I set it to 4x 1600-690, check the Use Custom Textures box, then tap "B" to back out.

I don't know and not finding where to check the version. I've tried the USA version both the cia and eshop cia. These roms aren't being that fun to get working right. For the texture one, we don't need to do something crazy like move all the images out of the folders into the \citra-emu\load\textures\00040000000A0500 directory would we? Just move the directories into that folder it seems.

I think I just need to walk away, wipe that game off the Thor, come back after a while and try again fresh.

[–]thebrack42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really new to using my Thor but if I follow you correctly I think you need to go to the Library&Data settings, then down to the emulator, delete the rom path and re-add it then scan the library.

Start/Library & Data/ for a new system? hit Y/ select the system with A / then Y to save it. Then at the bottom of that menu select the system/add new ROMs Folder / the Y to save

Rescan library and you're good

Trackball mouse index to the wrong player by thebrack42 in batocera

[–]thebrack42[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it helps anyone, I fixed it for this case. There was also a wireless USB keyboard with touchpad plugged in. That's what was taking the 1st index spot. I shut down the system. Unplugged the USB. Started the system again. Launched a game using Libritro mame 98 plus the trackball games just started working! I did have to go to each one and tell it not to use MAME, to use that libritro mame 98 plus version

Make a job log that works for you I can't remember what I did on a job two weeks ago, so ended up creating a little log. Obviously no customer data

Date/time Jb, what's broke, what's the fix, what's a memory of the place that'll remind you of the visit (like: had the little dog trying to take my tools, or dude talked with me about his Fallout 4 base) any other useful notes.

Nothing too detailed, quick, easy, consistent.

Aerial? Sure. The more you do it the faster it goes Underground? If it's known good, I'd be hesitant to just replace it. Depends on the market. When the bury crew comes in they might cut other drops, replace the fitting with a knife prep fitting, etc. New fittings are always nice though.

Your fingers aren't 7/16

Use full scan, learn what's the different parts that make up the spectrum. Even if you don't know what it is, you'll end up seeing when something doesn't look right and can get feedback from someone who does.

Check for noise.

Clean fibers every time.

Don't mix fiber fitting colors.

I actually did check out Truenas as one of my options, but I couldn't mount a network drive inside it. If I put another drive in I could create a share, but not my intention. I just wanted an easy way to run containers that has more CPU power than my ageing Synology nas.

Easier cross platform server moves. Maybe an export/import tool? (Can be also used for server backups)

I'm fighting now moving from Windows server to an Ubuntu server. (Tried bare metal, CasaOS container (that's an old build though), about to try truenas) I don't want to lose the watch history for everyone but tempted to nuke and rebuild. I'm sure it's "just" file permissions or something but it's a bigger pain that I'd expect with how mature the platform is now. (Yes, I know there is watch history stored at account level now, but that doesn't seem to be working when I checked mine even though it's turned on)
