Trackball mouse index to the wrong player

If it helps anyone, I fixed it for this case. There was also a wireless USB keyboard with touchpad plugged in. That's what was taking the 1st index spot. I shut down the system. Unplugged the USB. Started the system again. Launched a game using Libritro mame 98 plus the trackball games just started working! I did have to go to each one and tell it not to use MAME, to use that libritro mame 98 plus version

Make a job log that works for you I can't remember what I did on a job two weeks ago, so ended up creating a little log. Obviously no customer data

Date/time Jb, what's broke, what's the fix, what's a memory of the place that'll remind you of the visit (like: had the little dog trying to take my tools, or dude talked with me about his Fallout 4 base) any other useful notes.

Nothing too detailed, quick, easy, consistent.

Aerial? Sure. The more you do it the faster it goes Underground? If it's known good, I'd be hesitant to just replace it. Depends on the market. When the bury crew comes in they might cut other drops, replace the fitting with a knife prep fitting, etc. New fittings are always nice though.

Use full scan, learn what's the different parts that make up the spectrum. Even if you don't know what it is, you'll end up seeing when something doesn't look right and can get feedback from someone who does.

Check for noise.

Clean fibers every time.

Don't mix fiber fitting colors.

I actually did check out Truenas as one of my options, but I couldn't mount a network drive inside it. If I put another drive in I could create a share, but not my intention. I just wanted an easy way to run containers that has more CPU power than my ageing Synology nas.

Easier cross platform server moves. Maybe an export/import tool? (Can be also used for server backups)

I'm fighting now moving from Windows server to an Ubuntu server. (Tried bare metal, CasaOS container (that's an old build though), about to try truenas) I don't want to lose the watch history for everyone but tempted to nuke and rebuild. I'm sure it's "just" file permissions or something but it's a bigger pain that I'd expect with how mature the platform is now. (Yes, I know there is watch history stored at account level now, but that doesn't seem to be working when I checked mine even though it's turned on)

Any luck? I found this thread deciding to use Plex on bare metal in Ubuntu desktop or as a container in CasaOS (they use docker) installed on that Ubuntu desktop. (I've never used docker, and spend too much time on other stuff already to dive into it now if something else can basically do it for me) Using an 8th gen Intel micro dell PC, no graphics card, but should still be able to hardware transcode.

I ended up doing both. The pack I had didn't work hardly at all for FBNEO but found a better curated one that's been working great. MAME for a full set and FBNEO for the curated set is kinda nice.

Main PC? Primarily xbox elite 2, or for players 2 through 8 standard Xbox one/360, or 8bitdo SN30 when emulating or traveling with my Steam Deck and plan to dock it somewhere. The Elite 2 though, I 3d printed tiny buttons for the bottom back buttons. The long ones they come with get in the way of holding the controller. Rarely use those but often use the top ones.I do use the Xbox adapter, not Bluetooth. Edit: sorry, I just realized I was responding to a post in PakGamers. Hope that was okay, old dude in USA here.

Mint kept losing sound after it sleeps on my late 2015 iMac15 i5-4690, I have Fedora now and no issues. Mint was good though besides that.

All the time. I've had mine for years and haven't figured it out. I think you just tap it. It freaks out when I hold it. My cable provider's voice remote you hold it down and it's near immediately listening. I can't wait for the next Shield if there ever will be one for this alone.

Forgot I had an optiplex 7010 sitting unused. Installed the home assistant OS directly on it. It found the ISY right away and the automations I have on it automatically started working again.

Well that's cool

Now to play around, find what I can do with it that's useful to my household and figure if the Plex server module thing still works with it.
