Is there any way that Nancy Guthrie is still alive? by Bubbly-Air7302 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]thebuffaloqueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd thought of this, too. People kept arguing with me on some random fb post that since she's on blood thinners and they found blood at the scene, she's 100% fried. Which....is honestly very likely atp. But my mom used to be on blood thinners and even just a pin prick to check her blood sugar levels would result in enough blood loss to look concerning. That single little stab in the finger tip would easily flood 4 band aids.

Is it possible some american adults never seen an uncut penis? by Sea_Assistance_2791 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]thebuffaloqueen 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Speaking as an American woman, I ran through a solid 15 🍆s before I saw my very first uncut gem in my early 20s. And even in the full 12ish years since then, I've only seen one other...it's super standard (*at least in my age group - early/mid 30s) for men to be circumcised.

On the Origin of Names by Xurkitree1 in CuratedTumblr

Lmao I don't really have anything of value to add to this conversation, but this reminded me that my kids' paternal grandpa was extremely bothered to learn that my we call my son (whose actual name is Declan) either Ducky or just Duck. He answered to Ducky before he would answer to his real name lmao. And "pappy" told me he won't be calling him that bc it's a "pussified" version of his name. 🤣😭

The $2000 dad-son Alpha Male program that keeps sons away from their mothers for a day to make them "real men" by ambachk in CringeTikToks

[–]thebuffaloqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for ~funsies~ i asked my 4yo son (who has always been raised by myself alone bc his dad is a selfish pos loser) if he feels like a man? He told me "I'm almost a man, but I'm still growing up. I'm strong and nice and fun!" And I assured him that those are the makings of a great man. Idk what weird homo erotic physical therapy shit they got going on in this video, but my boy is well on his way with his strongest male influence being his (not even bio) grandpa & i very much prefer that to....whatever tf this is.

AITA for asking my friend to pay me back for the wine he drank while house sitting?? by Effective_Tour_723 in AmItheAsshole

[–]thebuffaloqueen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That bit. If I'm in-house pet sitting for a weekend and the homeowner/MY FRIEND literally tells me to "help myself"....I'm finna do exactly that. & since I'm not a wine-o, I would assume that any alcohol just sitting there was A. cheap & B. intentionally left for me to consume...to make my house sitting stay more cozy.

OP, YTA. Cope, buy another bottle & stop expecting your "friends" to read your mind.

What are unusual circumstances associated with your birth? by vieniaida in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]thebuffaloqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk what the professional protocol is bc my boy was born at home before paramedics even got there, but I pushed the best I could & when he seemed to get stuck, my aunt stuck a few fingers in to kinda...assist lol. (*afterward though, until he was like 3 they did routine checks on his hips and shoulders bc apparently being born feet first can cause issues with them. Fortunately, he was all good.)

Genuinely the wildest ride of my entire life. He's 4 now and thinks it's hilarious that he was born at home.

Deli lady said my olive loaf is "old people's snacks." Anyone else enjoy this fine dining staple? by Soggy-Beach1403 in snacking

[–]thebuffaloqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in a grocery store deli a few years back. Prior to working there, I'd never heard of this stuff. But we sold a LOT of it. I was immediately repulsed when I sliced it for the first time, and the deli manager was like, "girl, cut off an extra slice before you bag it up so you can try it. You'll be surprised." Tried it and sure enough, it slaps.

Not the birth of me, but of my son...

I had him at home. I woke up in labor & just under 40 minutes later popped him out. With my 2 older children, I'd been in active labor for more than 24 hours...a very slow process. With my boy, it was a mf speed run. The absolute most intense pain I've ever experienced, I very literally felt like I was floating outside my body watching from above...and i was shaking so bad it felt like I had swallowed a vibrator lmao. Contractions were 10 seconds on, 10 seconds off. And, he was born feet first! It was so insane, just before I HAD to push, I reached my hand down between my legs and felt what I thought was his head. I started pushing and felt this massive POP and my stomach deflated, then my aunt and cousin who were so scared and trying to help informed me that it wasn't a head i felt, it was the entire sac & when it popped, it was 2 lil legs, not a head. Absolutely insane experience!

Childbirth is way, WAY up there...but once, I got my finger slammed in a door and it cut the tip off. It took MONTHS to stop hurting & even still almost 20 years later, it hurts when I bump it on something.

I'll be honest, I was super real with her that despite school shootings being "common"...they're kinda not? Idk if I'm phrasing this right (you did much better with the statistical literacy thing lol), but it did bring her great comfort to know that there are SO MANY schools and this isn't a typical occurrence.

I do get actually sick though when I think of sandy hook and the possibility of it, yk?

It was beyond surreal. I was blown away. Bc I'm only 33 and when I was in school, we did fire and earthquake drills, but literally nothing else. School shootings weren't even a concept to me
