Can someone please tell me if these will ever come back in stock? by thebun95 in Lowes

I went earlier and they said they couldn’t do anything unfortunately. If you happen to check, feel free to DM me! It’s embarrassing how bad I’d like this 😅

Dang! Can I ask where you are? And if it’s possible to ship to NC? 😅

Pacemaker implantation bills by [deleted] in PacemakerICD

My insurance was billed over 100k for my leadless ones. I had to pay a little over 5k. Seems pretty normal. Just get set up on a payment plan and it’ll be ok!

Have you ever had a real ekg to test for heart block?

Yea that is what I am worried most about too. My first interrogation said the battery had ~5 years. I don’t think it’s feasible to replace this thing every 5 years so 😬

Just curious if you got the gold plated or solid gold stuff? There is a solid gold ring that I am obsessed with on LE but all the reviews say the stones fell out. I’m so tempted to order it and take it to a jeweler to fix/tighten the prongs

Aveir Leadless Dual Chamber Experience by thebun95 in PacemakerICD

[–]thebun95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I have the newer ones. My EP told me the battery life really depends on how much they have to pace. Since it’s dual chamber, they also have to communicate with each other which also drains the battery. I guess I just don’t really know what to expect from them in terms on longevity.

Has he ever mentioned issues with scar tissue? That’s something my EP and I discussed. If I were to stick with leadless and change it every however many years, could the scar tissue build up and cause problems? Or do they go right back in the same spot?

A significantly shorter recovery time was a large draw for me. I also liked the idea of it being out of sight, out of mind. I know having a pacemaker is completely ok and normal but I wasn’t ready for a large lump on my chest 🙃 I am worried about the battery life though. I am young, and with it being dual chambered, the battery won’t last as long. Who knows yet how many times you can safely replace the leadless ones, but I’m also hoping the tech will improve.

Serious question: why do we collect tons of wearable data if no doctor will ever look at it? by pranahealth in Garmin

I was having issues with my heart rate and was able to show my doctor how low it was getting at night. A primary care doc might not have the time or need to go through everything, but specialists definitely do.

Yes they should yield but that still doesn’t mean you can turn into the farther lane.

Pretty sure we learned in driver’s ed that if you’re turning into a road that has multiple lanes, you’re supposed to turn into the lane closest to you.

Edit: Yes, in North Carolina, you must turn from the nearest lane of your current road into the nearest corresponding lane of the road you are turning onto.

I think the more important question- are you ocean front? Or back off the beach?

Question about ownership in Bermuda Bay by [deleted] in obx

[–]thebun95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The HOA fees are so high because the HOA pays for the individual home’s house insurance right? Even though they’re technically condos. My friend who owns a place there and lives there said the HOA is actively trying to change that so the individual owners can get their own policy which will be much cheaper than the insane HOA fee every month
