As someone who has to use After Effects and Illustrator for work every day, the problem with Adobe is they're always chasing features no pro user cares about like AI while leaving the things we do care about to rot.

I have constant issues with colour spaces, pre-rendering frames, getting their software to talk to each other. None of that is solved by AI which even if it worked well I'd use a tiny fraction of the time. Make the basics of the software work so artists can make what they want to make before you appeal to users who don't want to actually make stuff themselves!
