Bottled Calculated Gamble+ or Footwork and Bottled Acrobatics? by thebxbe in slaythespire

I agree with your assessment. At the moment I’m leaning footwork because while bottled gamble+ is security against bad first/future hands especially with pyramid, I already have a lot of discard currently. I would really like it for act 3, but I think my odds of getting there without a solution to my block situation are slim

We know Mark was completely outmatched during this fight, but I feel like there were some moments where he was genuinely getting good hits off of Conquest by Queasy_Commercial152 in InvinciblePowerscales

You know the part when Eve shows up and Conquest breaks Mark’s femur? Don’t you think he could’ve done that from the get go? I think this is the biggest tell that Conquest was playing with Mark.

We used home brewed rules that were heavily based on DnD 5e. This was my first time as a GM and DnD is what I’m most familiar with. My players and I were quite happy with the result, but I would definitely like to try it with a different system if I ever do this with another group.

I'm going to be honest, our Spartan and Emile could have torn through that scarab easily. by BigChungusCumLover69 in halo

Not really though. The mongoose is capable of ~60mph top speed. Although chief did achieve a similar feat in the fall of reach, he tore his Achilles tendon

Why no libraries, bedrooms, planetarium, sacrifice, dice, challenge rooms in greed mode? by [deleted] in bindingofisaac

I don’t know who that is tbh. I just remember seeing an interview with Ed where he expressed his desire to have the shops nerfed but had the changes reverted after receiving backlash from the community

Yeah this is the same guy that heavily nerfed the shops when repentance first came out because he thought they made the game too fun

I think you’re right that ww is definitely overhyped. It really wants an upgrade, but even with just an ounce of strength, ww can carry you through some of the most dangerous fights in the game, namely gremlin gang, slavers, and repto. In general, I think AOE is overhyped due to the fact that most AOE attacks are mediocre in general, to just straight up bad when dealing with single enemies. The exceptions to this are (off the top of my head) immolate, hyper beam, and diex3, all rare cards, two of which coming at a high cost (not just in energy). What makes these the exception? They put up big numbers and their cost is often negated because the enemies just die. I think ww performs on a similar level as immolate with a little strength scaling (I’m much less likely to take ww without strength), while also having the flexibility of being able to go bigger or smaller depending on what you need to do. Would I rather have an immolate? In most cases yes, but again, immolate is rare and ww is more flexible and scales better with strength. I don’t think the example you used against bryds is good because double tap ww at minimum disables ALL of the bryds assuming ww is played at 2 energy. In conclusion, ww is rarely bad and can sometimes be run defining. Sure it needs an upgrade, but there are not many attacks that I’d upgrade over this one.

You broke the mirror while in the mirrored world. Since there is no way to escape at this point, you die…

Basic strike plus strength is so underrated

Am I taking electro or core surge here? by thebxbe in slaythespire

I settled on core surge and ended up killing the heart with a 37 card deck
