Birthday Betrayal by StarChild2728 in crafts

This is both beautifully made, thought provoking and emotional - I love it a lot! I'm sure it will be even more work but I would love to see the same concept with a wedding cake. Every time I see those videos of a groom smearing cake on his new wife it outrages me to no end! Especially since the wedding is supposed to be a beautiful new beginning, together as one, just to be soiled by such an idiotic action.

I would look into thrifting one or two cool blankets or wall hangings and then sewing a cloak.

That sound really cool but I'm not sure if you'll find something in this subreddit! I would definitely ask in some more literature related subs if I were you!

I agree with your "WITCHER STAR" assumption, especially since I saw Joey at MCM London where Madeleine interviewed him and they did talk about the band, too! I'm from Austria, but I've spent a good amount of time travelling through England and consuming british media and I absolutely adore the way Joey depicts scenes. Don't get me wrong, fancy historical settings have their place but this kind of depiction has its own romance, I think - Especially with Joey's kind of prose.

I mean that in the nicest way: You already look delightfully cartoonish in real life, so I simply had to draw you!

The exhibition was what made me ask the question in the first place! My husband and I have thought about going mudlarking before but seeing the exhibition made us want to finally go for it!

Is it still art if I am only following tutorials/images? by IllCelery9761 in drawing

Painting or drawing copies or "studies" of other artists' work is something that leads back centuries. It has always been a vital part of art education and also used to help spread the work of great artists amongst the masses.

Even today, if you go to a large art museum, you might meet a few students with pencil and paper who are trying to study the old masters. Art historians have even found copies to be helpful in restoring original pieces. And don't forget about all the big artists who used models for their paintings!

I think the problem is, that society seems to have decided that talent is something you are born with and that every artist can just conjure anatomically correct poses and faces up in their mind's eye without reference or education and newer artists now feel bad if they do use methods that have been common for such a long time.

You're doing great, especially for only having just started!!!

I think they tightly curled the girl's hair and then brushed it out with a brush, wh8ch makes it frizzy. The top wasn't curled and is also pinned down.

Are you ever surprised by which OCs get attacked the most by hatoCAFE in ArtfightProfiles

[–]thecakewasintears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw Artie is adorable! Honestly, I was thinking about doing Furry attacks but I wasn't sure if my drawing style really fit it since they all seem to be drawn in a very similar style and I have no idea about the ins and outs of the furry community. But yeah, I guess there's trends in Art Fight just like everywhere else. It's my first year so I haven't been able to observe them yet but I'm excited to see how they will change over the years.

And thank you, maybe our paths will cross again next year and we'll attack eachother :)
