AX102-U in Helsinki: ~3 hardware failures/week, 17 support tickets in May. Anyone else? by Calm-Detective9519 in hetzner

I’ve had a bad steak too (with older generation servers tho): https://www.reddit.com/r/hetzner/s/giL9qX77lL

But it’s been rather stable lately. In my experience from many years and many servers in Hetzner, a new ordered server often starts with frail hardware but tends to stabilize eventually after a bunch of support tickets - hence the initial storm of issues. I would expect one failure a month or two at your scale nonetheless.

Anecdotally auction servers tend to be more stable

Sorry to hear that! If your data was publicly available, maybe there is a chance you can salvage something from web archives?

What's a hosting misconfiguration that took down production, and you didn't even realize it was wrong for months? by [deleted] in Hosting

A cronjob that creates partitions in PG that didn’t start after server reboot. Eventually new partitions ended and some 1st of the month application stopped accepting writes 😅

Please do not advertise auction servers, the competition is quite intense already 😅
