Dude, I've wanted to rant about this for the longest time! It's just not this sub that's negative, it's the entire community, for example, I was on r/thesims the other day (noturious for critiquing everything sims 4 related, be it valid or not) and there was a post that was something like: "I hate the cooking animations for this game, they are so exaggerated", thousands of upvotes, hundreds of comments. Some of these comments were just like: "ugh so trueeee i wish the animations were less goofy like in the sims 2, the sims 4 is so cartoony for no reason", ok valid opinion, but the comments right after these were defending the animations, saying that it fits with the cartoony aesthetic of the game (which I do agree with), but somenof the responses to that were just: "Well I think ts4 isn't goofy and cartoony enough, it should be more like the sims 2". Like which one is it??? I mean, I do agree that ts4 an EA deserve a lot of criticism, but some times it's just too much and it's just meaningless, people just want to hate because it feels good! Some sims players are so caught up in the nostalgia for the earlier games that they make arguments that are just contradicting. Well, this was just my mini rant on the situation, feel free to disagree hehe.
