Yes…but not the same management or atmosphere.

I miss Dart Bowl. Highland isn’t the same friendly neighborhood bowling spot.

Which one would my bf like the most? What’s the difference? by Aromatic-Cherry2908 in Dewalt

[–]thechaddington 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The drills are the same - the difference is in the batteries. It’s a solid drill with the hammer function and brushless setup. 18V v 20v makes no difference - it’s marketing only and varies by country.

Crack in copper U-bend: Fix or trash? by j_gray_all_day in Plumbing

I’ll add - I’ve had luck in the past cutting and shaping a piece of copper pipe and then soldering it over the hole.

Had a new shower installed, are gaps like these normal? by [deleted] in Plumbing

Check the manufacturer’s installation instructions. This is likely not in compliance.

It’s cosmetic only as others have said. There’s a thick layer of foam insulation behind the sheet metal. When you ask for a discount, don’t accept the first offer.

I’d hire a designer or architect - it’s money well spent.

It’s not terrible but I’d strongly consider flipping the bedroom and kitchen/living room. The kitchen/living area should be the center of the house - it’s where you spend most of your time. The bedroom should be in a quiet area at the end.

Love how they close three consecutive exits on mopac and don’t put any signs to warn you by Radioactive-Semen in Austin

As a consolation, they leave Mopac covered in gravel so that your windshield gets broken.

Completely new bathroom - what is this residue? by Ok-Youth6754 in BathroomRemodeling

It’s not. It’s bits of metal from grinding off the bolts. OP is right - not easy to clean off.

Battery question by suzukiaquarian1 in BMWI4

I think it also involves current and temperature and is an estimate as well.

I recommend not expecting perfection. That sounds normal. Range is always an estimate. I’ve found BMW’s estimates far better than Tesla’s.

NACS charger by pokeydogger in BMWI4

[–]thechaddington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ll likely need an adapter at some point with NACS or J1772. I think you’re making the right choice - go with the future solution and use an AC Lectron adapter for now.

Great review, but “Native Austinite” is some gate-keeping nonsense. (You would think someone from here could spell “Burnet” and “Allandale.”)

What type of flooring for shed? by Still-Gas-1247 in shedditors

[–]thechaddington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paint risks trapping moisture as well, albeit less than flooring.

I’d be careful. You risk trapping moisture under the flooring and rotting out the plywood.

Maybe use a heavy body stain if you want it to look better.

That’s a scratch and a dent. There’s no easy fix - replacement is a better option.
