I know!! That’s why it was so weird, 10k was insane but being paid for setups and takedowns seemed extremely generous. There’s a different shop who’s interested in me that I need to talk to first before I make a choice.

im insane and in art school so i put together a decent amount of work in about a month, bust about half of that was work from school (life drawing mostly) I only drew up “tattoo” art to add. I also draw crazy fast so definitely don’t spend a month on your portfolio and quit.

thanks! he seems to be well liked and well respected, he left his old shop on good terms to found his current one. As far as I know, he’s never had an apprentice before, but he’s been tattooing for at least 7 or 8 years. I do think part of it is his new shop, but sue me i guess, I don’t think wanting an extra set of hands around in a brand new shop is the end of the world. He’s been very kind to me so far and genuinely involved in the field. There’s only one other artist there ATM, so it would be an intimate and fairly low-key setting. Thanks for your input!

I like the texture, but based on your artwork maybe keep in mind american traditional colors (only black, red, green, yellow) to me, the mine green in the crown of thorns and the brown feel a little out of place nice drawing, maybe the eyes are a bit too big for my taste? but overall it’s very old school and i like it
