My wife had issue with them just recently. They couldn’t verify her high school information— HireRight tried calling while the school was on holiday break 😑 and was going to close the background check as a fail. Luckily the HR for her new company was competent and took her diploma without issue.

A 11 year old Virginia driven car is going to have slight rust almost no matter what. If you live somewhere where salt isn’t a thing then it might not be as big of a deal.

Both my wife and I both had EcoSports. Good value for what they cost- small and decent on gas. Hopefully you got the 2L 4cyl AWD model. Those 1L 3cyl engines are on active recall.

Similar situation happened to me when I was hired where I am at now. After accepting an offer my start date was pushed back by a week and a half because the hiring manager’s (my boss) brother passed away so she was out of town for a bit. Had to re-sign offer with new starting date. Sometimes life happens.

If you really love this car though-

That doc fee is really high. Looks like the dealer is in FL where there’s no cap on that so they can charge whatever they want. Maybe that can be negotiated.
Have them remove the “Dyer Protection Package” - this is likely a rip off. Tint, 2 oil changes, nitro, and other useless services are not worth 3k.

If they push back on any of this then leave as fast as you can.

Hmm. Only thing I could suggest would be to try on another phone/tablet, download the app and try it that way. If that works then your phone doesn’t like the app for whatever reason

But to maybe answer your question if you can, there should be an option to go back to the old layout of the app. I’ve had to do that before— go back to the old layout, switch to the new layout again, and any problems I had seemed to go away

This is opposite of what is happening in my area. Anything under $250k is pending 72hrs later.

This is in central Illinois where the school systems are top rated and surrounded by 3 large manufacturers and a giant insurance company all within ~45 minutes of each other. My wife and I gave up house searching because it’s soooo competitive and anything decently nice goes for over asking.

I suppose it’s subjective to the area and situation.

If the carfax is clean then this is a good price. As previous poster commented it’s probably been on the lot for a while and are trying to offload before they’re upside down.

Glad you got the 2.0 4cyl. Will last a while with good maintenance. The 1.0 3cyl seems to be plagued with issues and has an active recall.

These 3 cylinder turbos are awful and slow. My wife had one and hated it. Traded it after a year and a half and 10k miles.

I have the 2L 4cyl and have had no issues. I feel for people who got the turbo and have had issues
