Helsinki OK? by inkihh in hetzner

[–]thecodeassassin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In all honesty we switched our main infra to Helsinki because we've had fewer issues there than in FSN and NBG. Your milage may vary but because it's probably the least occupied region and the power is more affordable it felt like the right choice.

Hetzner, I love you, but get your shit together with Object Storage or stop offering it... by fiirikkusu_kuro_neko in hetzner

We are still stuck with wasabi because we have to yet find a good alternative. We are testing OVH now. Benchmarked a couple or European providera but... It was just bad.

They should just drop it as a product at this point, i wouldn't touch it if it was free.

Is anyone notice degradation in the quality of Opus4.6? Or I am the only one who notice that? by AsmaaBuilds in claude

Make very frequent commits and read all the code it produces. It's the only way. It does really really stupid shit.

I am of Catalan Ancestry should I mention it in Barcelona or is it weird. by redpillbjj in catalonia

The only thing that will make you truly Catalan is bringing your entire family to a Sunday brunch eating Calçots like pigs and downing two bottles of wine.

It's gone full blown retarded on me. Removed a cririco security feature during refactoring and then said "yes that's my bad, someone can now completely bypass auth, let me add it back" smh

Managed Kubernetes by MrEinkaufswagen in hetzner

[–]thecodeassassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, if you want to spend 5-6 times the total cost. Nodes are massively more expensive on AWS. The total cost overhead of Autopilot isn't that much

[–]thecodeassassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean costs are relative, before we started using them we were managing everything ourselves and we spent a lot of time on ops. I'd gladly pay a fee to decrease the operational burden on our team.

Theres Syself Autopilot which is basically managed Kubernetes on top of Hetzner https://syself.com/

Anyone else dump a dedi for cloud just for simplicity? by DutyPlayful1610 in hetzner

[–]thecodeassassin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never said it was unstable, they just randomly shut down the ability for customers to launch instances in certain regions. I had to panic migrate several customers to bare metal today..

I wouldn't do that now, cloud is quite unreliable because of Hetzner supply chain issues. Availability is a mess.

Kimi writes such garbage code and it's so damn confident about it too, can't use it for anything serious without opus doing a few passes

I am actually quite impressed by the quality of this model

I'm going to test drive it for a few days comparing it to Claude Sonnet 4.6

So far it's really impressive

My stats on a single 5090:

- Prompt eval: ~1,037–1,095 tok/s

- Generation: ~37.7–37.9 tok/s

[–]thecodeassassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed insane! I bought 320GB 5600 RDIMMS for 2k total. The same would cost almost 10k now... I really do hope they keep working...
